Same and I’ve never felt any danger. I normally take the metro (literally 10 seconds from the entrance) but have parked a car on the streets nearby and it was fine. Estadio Azteca is an option but it’s far away. I feel everybody and their mother is doing Foro Sol and this is pretty much her doing the equivalent of BMO Stadium, but just twice the size. I wonder if this opens the possibility of a tour.
