Is it? I've been there three times in the last 2 years and you can see the people attempting to snatch whatever you have hanging. Mexico City desperately needs new venues.

the fact is, there are new venues already like the CDMX Arena yet they keep booking artists the same old trashy places just because OCESA owns those venues so they don't have to pay fees for other places

Same and I’ve never felt any danger. I normally take the metro (literally 10 seconds from the entrance) but have parked a car on the streets nearby and it was fine.

Estadio Azteca is an option but it’s far away. I think Foro Sol just needs a big renovation tbh.

That arena is never gonna work for someone wanting to book a stadium. Plus it’s lowkey in a terrible location :rip:

Depending on her setlist in Brazil I may go to this.

I mean of course not, but there have been a lot of arena shows that when OCESA brings them to mexico they book Foro sol just to sell a lot more tickets.

And to stay on topic, why on earth would you book a stadium for someone like Lana, is not like she will have a huge production like Madonna

The Palacio can hold around 18K for concerts.

Yeah, I just went for what Wikipedia said, but it seems for concerts the capacity is around 18k

Well, it would basically be a standard Lana Del Rey concert, but with a bigger audience. It has worked before for her the times she has done Lollapalooza

She's kinda in a 'festival' tour, almost like the one she did in 2019. Tomorrow she's gonna start in Brazil.

This concert in Mexico is the only one announced that isn't part of a festival.

I believe the London date is also a solo concert :bird:

why can't she announce a tour already, some random festivals and now a solo concert

She's the type of artist who only tours whenever she feels like it, so maybe she's testing the waters to see how she feels performing again before planning a proper tour

It's funny how I know these venues because I am Mexican but was born in the U.S. but I am invested in Mexican pop culture to the point where they always reference these venues.

I feel everybody and their mother is doing Foro Sol and this is pretty much her doing the equivalent of BMO Stadium, but just twice the size. I wonder if this opens the possibility of a tour. I saw her during NFR Tour and she sold out the Hollywood Bowl she can easily do two shows there because she seems to love it there so much.

The OCESA monopoly I bet. Also, why do they still do paper tickets in 2023? :rip:
