No. I hate it when people are habitually late. It's so rude :deadbanana2:

Even worse, at university, people would come in to lecures late, walk in carry a coffee and cause distruption as they sat down.

Do become managers and bosses

No I always wake up way too early, I have a difficult time staying asleep and I never get enough sleep :gaycat6: I wake up multiple times at night and usually I can't go back to sleep no matter how hard I try so I'm awake early and end up working out, making breakfast and literally just killing time until I need to leave for work so I'm always early :skull:

I hate work so yeah

Pretty much. I would hate it even if I started at like lunch.

The problem is that work takes away too much of our lifetime.

Yeah, it’s something I need to work on for sure. In college it was so bad that I was gifted a Sonic Boom alarm clock that like shook the whole bed and that didn’t even work really :rip:

before the pandemic when I went into the office I was always cutting it close but pretty much always made it just on time unless there was bad traffic that day because of an accident.

now I work from home and I stay in bed until like 2-3 minutes before I have to start work :dies:

I get to work at 10-11 am when I work at the office but we start at 8:30 :skull:

I used to be punctual until my new workplace told me to work the hours that “work for me” and I work from home… dangerous. Sometimes I’ll sleep until 10-11am.

I start at 9am and generally get there about 8.58am. I'm not paid to be there any earlier.

Not in the way you think.

I don't drive so I take the bus to work. I live a couple towns away which is a 30 minute drive but a 45 minute minimum bus ride. so i Have to leave anywhere between 1 to 2 hours before work to be there on time. Sometimes buses get cancelled which fucks me over. I work at a grocery store though so I just call to let them know I'll be late if that happens. I'm one of the few people in my department there that is actually reliable and does a good job so me being late is nothing compared to the lazy bums that somehow get work there or the ones with horrible attitudes.

my work has flexible hours so it doesn't really matter if you're late, as long as you do the hours

The thing about still being in school/doing research is that often I don't need to be anywhere at a specific time so I'll wake up late and stay in bed even later :deadbanana:

I tried going to sleep earlier but it turns out I just like to sleep in and that results in me sleeping more hours and waking up at the same time.

Honestly, there are many reasons I don't want to continue with research, but this is one of them. If it's important enough to be somewhere at a certain time then I can do it. But if there's flexibility, I'll allow myself to get in this routine which is pretty unproductive.
