CELEBRATION TOUR TO VISIT NASHVILLE + NEW U.S. DATES ADDED

With anti-LGBTQ+ legislation passing in Tennessee and other states, longtime social activist Madonna announced an additional stop on her The Celebration Tour in Nashville on December 22nd.  A portion of proceeds from the show will go to trans rights organizations. In regard to the over 100 anti-LGBTQ+ bills currently before state legislatures, Madonna says “the oppression of the LGBTQ+ is not only unacceptable and inhumane; it’s creating an unsafe environment; it makes America a dangerous place for our most vulnerable citizens, especially trans women of color.  Also, these so-called laws to protect our children are unfounded and pathetic. Anyone with half a brain knows not to **** with a drag queen. Bob and I will see you from the stage in Nashville where we will celebrate the beauty that is the queer community.”

Due to overwhelming demand, in addition to Nashville, Madonna has added seven new dates to her massive global The Celebration Tour, adding shows in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Palm Springs, and Sacramento, along with a second show in Phoenix and a third show in San Francisco and Las Vegas.  All new dates will take place between December 2023 and January 2024, and mark the final additional shows in North America where Madonna will perform some of her greatest hits from her unparalleled music catalogue.

TICKETS: Tickets for the new dates will go on sale starting with Citi and Official Fan Club presales on Tuesday, March 28th, with the general on sale starting March 31st at 10am local time on madonna.com (Noon local time for the Dec 20 Philadelphia show).

PRESALE: Citi is the official card of Madonna The Celebration Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets starting Tuesday, March 28 at 12 pm local time through Thursday, March 30 at 6pm local time. For complete presale details visit www.citientertainment.com. Legacy members of Madonna’s Official Fan Club will have a presale opportunity starting from Tuesday, March 28 at 10am local time through Wednesday, March 29 at 6pm local time

VIP: Fans can also purchase VIP Packages, which may include premium tickets, exclusive access to a behind the scenes tour, group photo on-stage, pre-show reception, limited edition lithograph & more. For more information, visit vipnation.com.

Madonna, the best-selling female solo touring artist of all time, announced that The Celebration Tour has sold-out over 40 shows and counting across Toronto, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and more.

The Celebration Tour will kick off on Saturday, July 15th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC with stops in Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, and more before making its way to Europe where she will perform in 11 cities throughout the fall, including Antwerp, Copenhagen, and Stockholm, among others. She will then return to the U.S. for the additional dates across New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and more.

The Celebration Tour will offer a one-of-a-kind experience with special guest Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue across all dates on the global tour.

I love how they made her butt look big in the old pix so they won't be surprised when they see her in person and think she had it the whole time. That's smart 🤓

Shame there isn’t new music (yet) for the

is tour. Makes me wonder if this truly is a silent farewell tour

It really feels like it. It’s not her style to announce something like that, but I don’t see her ever generating this kind of momentum again. I see her going all out for this as a sort of last hoorah and farewell to arena touring.

Maybe we’ll see another small venue tour in the future.

I mean Cher did planned a farewell tour from 2002-2005 and kept adding dates because it was very successful then did Vegas for 3 years and later did another tour for an album…  I’m sure Madonna will continue to tour for the next 20 years.

She could always do more low-key tours with ballads + Don't Tell Me as a closing dance number. A chill vibe with the queen. :celestial2:

Actually it gives zero farewell tour vibes if you know her a little. And obviously whatever new music she is doing with Max Martin in the studio is going to be performed.

OT:

Tbh I would rather hear Heartbeat instead the 235th rendition of Candy Shop

These new dates… Nashville will flop, but we knew that that’s fine. Toronto, Portland, Vancouver, 2 more Vegas shows, etc. would have been way better choices than another show in DC, Phoenix or San Francisco.

Yeah I looked on Ticketmaster and none of the new shows seem to have had much sales during presale. Things should sell out if she has never toured there before.

They eventually will all sell out, I mean there's still practically a year left. But yeah, I'm surprised she didn't add a second date in Vancouver for example.

Yeah they’ll still do fine, but I feel like they’ve oversaturated some markets (Texas and California) and have missed out on a lot of potential in Canada. I feel like all Canadian cities on the tour could get another show and it would have been an instant sellout. I was really surprised Portland didn’t get a show, we gave you one of the only good US rebel heart grosses! Oh well :coffee2:

So I guess he is going to be the musical director along Kevin Antunes, and Jamie King as the creative director. Confessions Tour vibes! And yep, hope she records a few new songs with him along the way.

I’ll be fine with one or two new songs and I’m sure she has had the time to do them, and thank god for Stuart Price coming back!!!! Hopefully they both reinvent some classics.

The initial hype is gone. These dates will sellout closer to their shows. These are shows happening almost a year from now.

i still can’t believe she’s doing over 50 shows in the USA and Canada alone :rip:

I think if it was an actual farewell tour her and her team would milk that idea and book stadiums as the demand would be a lot higher if it was advertised as her last ever tour.

I could be wrong but from marketing point of view it makes no sense for a touring legend like M to not promote her farewell tour as a farewell tour.

Stuart Prince certainly IS good news. Let's hope this leads to them making another classic. :clap3:

Is Madonna doing "Act of Contrition" for the tour?

The reason I ask, is because the lyrics were written on the sheet when she was in the studio with Stuart, etc.
