With the editing of this work starting last week, it's time to reveal this secret! Please note that some changes may occur due to ongoing assembly. As stated at the press conference, a new stage structure was built exclusively to do justice to the grandeur of this unique show. Unlike the original stage design made for Arenas that can hold up to 20,000 people, here we will only have a central court that is divided in front into three other smaller stages (image 1). It is not yet clear if the main stage will also have that circular stage, so typical of the tour. Appliances such as the retractable side curtains are also not part of the plan, nor is the cube in which Madonna circles on the ceiling. A giant LED screen will make the backstage composition a great scene. Next to the center court is the sponsors' area, but it is important to keep in mind that in front of the track and the three stages, there is the sand area open to everyone (img 2). It means that the early bird sits on the net and sees Madonna up close. 😃 Madonna will be presented at the Copacabana Palace and a walkway connecting the hotel to the stage makes it easier to get to the show. A huge structure will be set up behind the scenes, which may have exclusive services for those in the VIP area. Fun fact: With this new stage design, Madonna will have exactly 1 week to rehearse after finishing her last stadium show in Mexico. Will she rehearse right there in front of everyone? 😲🤗🤞🏾 This great show of the century will be on May 4 on Copacabana beach. Are you ready to make history with Madonna? #madonna #madonnainrio #madonnanobrasil #thecelebrationtour #thecelebrationtourinrio #rio #riodejaneiro #copacabana The stage looks massive from that picture! Can't wait to see the full setup It will be really something

She was tired on day one though. But we heard about this in some european shows and then she kept doing amazing shows most of the tour in the USA. We all have off days. Also, it's typical for her on the last few dates to be much more emotional. That happened with Rebel Heart, MDNA, Madame X, etc... Doing more shows late this year isn't "so soon" as well. She literally almost died last June and by October she started the tour.

thequeenofpopmadonna Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) I don't think she's filming her biopic soon. And she has nothing to do other than rests. So after the summer and her birthday party trip, it's likely to go on the road in the fall again and snatch more money from the shows. I think it's very possible because she won't retire. Sergi91 Posted April 17 Author Posted April 17 The Rio stage looks weird.. I hope the LED screen is the biggest ever built…. Like bigger than the one used at the Formation tour.

I'm here for her revamping the show and making it even better, as well as doing stadiums (Madonna in a stadium would be such an experience), but I'm struggling to see it happening... That said, it feels like she definitely will capitalize off of the Rio exposure. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the "official" kick off to Madonna 40 and us starting to get the reissues and other Madonna goodies.
BradySpears Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Obviously I would love for a small revamp like 09 S&S and they can easily do another sold out European leg. But over 100 dates would be insane, especially after her experience last year. She has seemed a little tired the last few shows. Maybe a 10 show residency at the O2 would make the most sense, less travel for her and the O2 shows made bank. If it is extended I'll do everything I can to attend a European show. The best show I've ever been to, 4 shows was not enough. 2

I had a similar thought that the Rio concert could be a "kick off" to reissues and other fun things, especially with it being live streamed. I hope so!

I'm sure that movie has been shelved. Way too much time has passed and went through endless rewrites and she seemingly abandoned the project and did this tour instead. 1 hour ago, Sergi91 said: The Rio stage looks weird.. It'll be big but not Formation Tour big 2
Sergi91 Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 Presidential candidate Maynes readY to be one of the Vogue judges in Mexico Claudia and Xochitl who? 3
Eric. Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) I'm so happy and grateful that after last year's cancelation I was able to attend Miami's second show and it was so amazing. I still can't believe I saw the Queen in concert. A dream come true. Now I can die happy after seeing live performances for "Open Your Heart," "Ray of Light," "Don't Tell Me," "Justify My Love," "You Thrill Me," "Bad Girl," "Bedtime Story" and "Take a Bow." (Although I would have loved seeing "Frozen" live too). "Burning Up" was such a cool switch up after the almost down-tempo versions of "Everybody" and "Into the Hollywood Groove." "Open Your Heart" was magical and so uplifting. Everyone was was singing along. The "Holiday" into "Live to Tell" segment just wrecked me. It was a beautiful and perfect tribute. It was even more perfect that it merged into "Like a Prayer" as if to call over to the souls of those who left us too soon. The whole Act I was amazing. I was ecstatic we got "Bad Girl" in full! And her daughter nailed the performance. It was so natural. The "Die Another Day" performance was one of the surprising highlights of the night. Probably the most impressive use of the whole stage for a dance routine (aside from "Erotica" and the "Vogue" rap). I was so mesmerized I didn't even record it and for a moment I kinda glad I got an upper level seat, 'cause from up there that performance looked amazing. The "Erotica" / "Justify My Love" segment was beautiful, creative and the dancers looked incredible, but it was definitely an acquired taste and I'm sure many people were relieved when "Hung Up" started playing. Even though I felt a lot the energy used for "The Beast Within" could have been used somewhere else, that performance was amazing and it was like a painting come to life. "La Isla Bonita" was probably the biggest crowd pleaser of the night (along with ''Open Your Heart" and "Hung Up") and I loved to see her son perform the guitar on it. Following that up with "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" while holding the Pride flag was the cherry on top. And that switch from "Ray of Light" to "Take a Bow" was such a random whiplash. But I was still so happy I got to see the latter performed live. Now, I know Madonna got to do this tour by her sheer will to stay alive and stick around, that she has over 30 40 years of music behind her and I am so thankful to her and everyone involved, but I think some elements of the show could been better: "Causing a Commotion" fit perfectly after "Burning Up"; she should have actually performed "Papa Don't Preach" and not just tease the intro while getting stimulated, either before "Erotica" or after "Die Another Day"; "Secret" (or even "Who's That Girl") would have been a much better acoustic choice instead of "Express Yourself"; "Vogue" should have been performed in FULL and right after that perform "Express Yourself" (video edit); "Human Nature" should have come after "Don't Tell Me"; the "Bedtime Story" performance was great and quite hypnotic, but I kept thinking it could have used some dancers (maybe they could have been floating in the air or Sufi swirling on different areas of the stage) and/or the screens; she could have been on stage to perform "Like a Virgin"/"Billie Jean" and/or the two dancers should have stayed on stage for that number; since at that point she circled back to the 80s, this would have been another great moment to perform "Causing a Commotion" for the last Act, then "***** I'm Madonna" and, after "Celebration," the last song should have been "Music." That would have been a truly show-stopping encore. Edited April 18 by Eric. 8 1

I never was a big fan of Die Another Day, it was not a song that I was really looking to when I attended the show but wow in person it was a high light for me too, the part when the lights go down and the line ''I think I'll find another way'' start it was just a nice staging moment I totally agree with you for a Music ending song, it could had a lengthened intro and lead to the actual song, it's really THE song that is missing 2
tiagol88 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 The way the next 5 shows from now on will be 100% sold-out events, ending with the Rio concert This tour is full of great moments tbh 4

Sergi91 Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 Genuinely curious what's with the gringos obsession with Frida? I don't see Mexicans being that devoted to her.

BradySpears Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Dying for the live versions so I have had this on repeat for the last couple days. One of the better full shows with good audio. She needs to not take her time on the live release. I also hope they include some of the changes she made, it would be awesome to have Rain, Frozen and Take a Bow included 2
