So I wanted to list out everything I noticed without having yet seen the show in person:

Madonna

  • Everybody

The choreography in this Danceteria performance (from 4:20 to 4:40) also makes an appearance during Everybody

And also idk if this is just coincidence, but she wore a poofier wig in Barcelona during the sex/90s segment. The Blond Ambition recording of the Barcelona show is infamous as her actual hair became unexpectedly poofy due to the humidity.

True Blue / Who's That Girl

  • Open Your Heart
    • With Tamara de Lempicka paintings and cabaret chair used in the Open Your Heart video
  • Live to Tell
  • Papa Don't Preach strings moment
  • Sang a few lines of Causing a Commotion at one date (Belgium?)
  • Where's the Party? sample at the start of Everybody
  • La Isla Bonita
  • La Isla Bonita video doppelgänger (BIM)

Additionally, the Madonna interlude features several small samples and clips from her entire career, and every era is to represented in some way. As there are too many to list, I only included above the elements I found the most pertinent. Here's what appears to not be "missing" from the show: representation for several of her films (I would have expected WE, I'm Going to Tell You a Secret, and Raising Malawi); a single performance or sample of anything from Hard Candy (which, with Britney's book and Justin's deservedly awful press is now even less likely to happen); a mention of or nod to Christopher Ciccone, likely due to his tell-all book; a clear nod to Niki Harris and Donna De Lory; and tbh, I think she should have had a matador at some point to represent either Take a Bow incredible success or Living for Love.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it looks like 1986 - 1992 are the eras best represented by the show. I'm just in awe at how much she managed to stuff into the show's runtime.

Wow this is such a comprehensive list I could never remember everything :clap3:you're correct that a few lines of Causing A Commotion were sung in Belgium, it was show 2 on the 22nd of October. She also said in the same show that her brother Anthony had had a lot of impact on her career.

They're not. There's only padding in the Bedtime Story body suit. Pics of her post hospitalization and opening night prove this

yeah it seems like her butt is only bigger with that last outfit...it has to be padding.

I was within a metre of her at times during the show, including at the end with the last outfit, and it definitely looks like padding. It’s looks too “soft” to be her actual butt, if that makes sense.

I would say that photos and videos don’t do her justice. She looks really good and fit in person, and her energy is amazing.

Erotica / The Girlie Show

  • Erotica / You Thrill Me
    • Boxers from TGS
  • Bad Girl
  • Rain

  • A League of Their Own doppelgänger (BIM)
  • Topless Gautier show doppelgänger (BIM)
  • Up Down Suite intro for Vogue
  • Several clips from the Erotica video and the making of the Sex book during the Madonna interlude
  • I'd argue the giant disco ball at the end of Holiday is a nod to the Girlie Show

I think the tick tock sound in the Erotica performance is the same sound from Waiting.

So I wanted to list out everything I noticed without having yet seen the show in person:

Pre-Fame

  • Heartfelt speech about her brother Anthony's death (Belgium)
  • Notes her punk/CBGB's days before Burning Up
  • Christopher Flynn, her former dance teacher, is one of the first faces shown during the AIDS tribute in Live to Tell

Madonna

  • Everybody
    • With original Danceteria choreography
  • Holiday
  • Burning Up
  • First Madonna doppelgänger before Burning Up

Like a Virgin / The Virgin Tour / Desperately Seeking Susan

  • Arguably, the first act outfit seems to wink at the one she wore during the first act of TVT
  • Like a Virgin/Billie Jean/Angel interlude (with Boytoy doppelgänger)
  • Into the Groove
  • Material Girl doppelgänger (BIM)
  • Crazy for You
  • The platter on the main stage is clearly a nod to the wedding cake during the Like a Virgin VMAs performance

  • Live to Tell
  • Papa Don't Preach strings moment

  • Where's the Party? sample at the start of Everybody

Like a Prayer / Blond Ambition / Dick Tracy / The Immaculate Collection

  • Like a Prayer (Remixed Prayers Mix) / Act of Contrition
  • Mixing Vincent Paterson's Papa Don't Preach and Like a Virgin choreography and scenery from the BAT and recreating the masturbation scene (with Blond Ambition doppelgänger)
  • Updating the BAT Express Yourself/Like a Virgin outfits for Vogue
  • Vogue
    • Some of the choreography winks at the original BAT version
  • Justify My Love / The Beast Within
  • Bob the Drag Queen as the Vogue VMAs doppelgänger
  • Several Truth or Dare (/ moments with Luis and Jose) clips during Vogue and the Madonna interlude
  • The dancers during Hung Up are wearing the Express Yourself pants and chain
  • I can't help but think the chair routine with Open Your Heart is a slight nod to both Keep It Together (BAT) and Bye Bye Baby (TGS)
  • Gabriel is shown during Live to Tell

Erotica / The Girlie Show

  • Erotica / You Thrill Me
    • Boxers from TGS
  • Bad Girl
  • Rain
  • Fever during the 90s interlude

  • Human Nature doppelgänger (Crazy for You / BIM)
  • Bedtime Story
  • The Bedtime Story video is notably used several times through the show
  • Don't Cry for Me Argentina

Ray of Light

  • Nothing Really Matters
  • Ray of Light

  • Music video doppelgänger (BIM)

American Life

  • Die Another Day
  • Mother and Father
  • American Life doppelgänger (Don't Cry for Me Argentina)
  • Using the Into the Hollywood Groove lyrics during Into the Groove

Confessions on a Dance Floor

  • Hung Up
    • With original Confessions Tour choreography
  • Hung Up video doppelgänger (BIM)
  • Confessions Tour Act I doppelgänger (BIM)

Hard Candy / Celebration

  • 4 Minutes doppelgänger (BIM)
  • Arguably the boxing elements during Erotica
    • At the very least her white-laced boots are a nod to the Hard Candy album cover in my eyes
  • Celebration

MDNA

  • Girl Gone Wild sample during Like a Prayer
  • Give Me All Your Luvin' sample during ***** I'm Madonna
  • Vogue Superbowl doppelgänger (BIM)
  • Met Gala 2013 doppelgänger (BIM)
  • Arguably, the ribbed distortion on the screens during Don't Cry for Me Argentina could be a nod to the MDNA album cover distortion
  • "NO FEAR" written on the American Life doppelgänger's back

Rebel Heart

  • Living for Love interlude (are there also elements of Wash All Over Me here?)
  • ***** I'm Madonna

Madame X / Post-MX

  • I Don't Search I Find interlude
  • Several clips from God Control in the Madonna interlude
  • Hung Up on Tokischa

@The7thStranger the Hung Up dancers are is a nod to the girlie show, the stripes pants, no shirts and with long hair like the guitar player in La Isla Bonita

is not a BAT reference

Hmmm, they do resemble her acoustic guitar playing in La Isla Bonita definitely. Good eye! But the pants on the TGS had no chain. Perhaps the pants are TGS, and the chain a way to bring a little BAT into it, given that the segment blends the two with PDP/Erotica later? I'll update the list.

If there's a second leg for this tour I hope she reworks the second half. She can drop Bedtime Stories, it seems really low-energy live. Replace it with

Physical Attraction.

I was apprehensive about Bob at first, but his role works so well throughout the show. Watch the other girlies scramble for drag queens on their next tours :hippo:

Bedtime story is great though

This should be considered. Stadium friendly stage.

Ew no, there’s already too many 80’s songs for my taste. Bedtime Story is great! And a highlight. I would add beautiful stranger or get together.

The knee pads she wears during the Erotica segment are also a nod to the Sticky & Sweet old school section.

Whoever arranged/choreographed Hung Up, Into the Groove, and Erotica needs to be fired.

If she headlines Glastonbury, she might tour Europe next summer. Maybe she'll come to Istanbul or Athens.
