We had Growth, art, and depth in rainbow era... We want kesha to have some fun again and release dance bop tracks,is that a bad thing? The new songs are boring,no one buy/stream them and the era is already a non-event...

:clap3:

OT: The new song shes teasing sounds very promising, but this era is a rollercoaster so far in terms of the hype / being disappointed / getting excited again compared to HR 😭

Is that hard to understand that she’s not coming to smash or make pop music? She’s passionate about this personal project and put everything she has inside of her so stop with the comeback at pop/commercial sound where that’s not the place she’s at? I get you don’t like these songs -they are very experimental and not the stuff she’s known for in any of her eras- but don’t pretend she’s being forced to do this music because it was really otherwise :skull: just say you don’t like it and that they are not your cup of tea but stop with requesting the bangers or bops

Im pretty sure it’s gonna be the next single before the album drops. The only one they said was “lead single” material…

only love can be a hit

i'm serious, the verses could smash on tiktok trends

they need to do what it needs to be done

This is literally a “not everyone is going to be able to get it” moment :skull: y’all sound dense in here saying you just want Kesha to have fun and make happy music when THIS is what she WANTS to create…

It's very clear RCA meticulously analyzed every flaw High Road had so that they could do the exact opposite of that this time:

  • announcement is the beginning of the era teasing vs. announcement is the end of the era teasing
  • sudden announcement + long rollout vs. dragged-out announcement + quick rollout
  • centering the era around the lead single vs. centering the lead single(s) around the era
  • trying to appeal to different crowds at the same time vs. making a clear directional choice
  • putting all eggs in the lead single basket vs. keeping aces up your sleeve for later
  • recreating past projects vs. exploring new sounds
  • overcrowding the album with tracks vs. keeping it short and coherent
  • working with familiar producers and collaborators vs. working with new producers and collaborators
  • vinyl release long after album release vs. vinyl release shortly after album release
  • music video release immediately vs. music video release later on
  • generic social media content vs. personalized Kesha posts
  • generic/safe album cover vs. intriguing/controversial album cover
  • avoiding the lawsuit vs. addressing the lawsuit

I love this breakdown :clap3: The best part of it is that it feels very natural / not really calculated (reminds me of Miley's Flowers / ESV rollout a bit, though it's clear they're not going for commercial success at first with this project).

As a die-hard Animal, High Road was a cute concept but where it fell short was the execution. It gave us some gems though which was nice! Butyeah, I'm actually surprised at the amount of Kesha listeners who are surprised she ended up going in this sonic direction - she's always been itching for more experimental stuff to come out since Lip$ha.

The meltdowns over these songs. It is honestly not that serious huns. Let the girl feel her experimental oats :deadbanana2:

I don’t know what why people are so disappointed in this sound. This is exactly what we would have got with Lipsha and already miles better than all the pop stuff on High Road. Even Kesha’s unreleased have explored this sound.

Anyways, i do like this direction personally and super keen to hear the other tracks on the album. From the iglive snippets, The Drama sounds really interesting.

Only Love does indeed sound like a good single choice. Let’s see.

She’s already taped a performance of it for the Can’t Cancel Pride special airing in June. If that’s not a sign of a future single choice, I don’t know what is!

both songs are so bland, nothing special about them. She needs to move away from doing these boring songs and try to go back to her pop roots. She's insanely talented, i'm sure she can pull hits if she works with other fresh/different producers

i know :noparty: i just want a pop banger from ha

The way she did exactly that. She went to an acclaimed producer she's never worked with before to create an album that is fresh and nothing like what's she's done before, on her own terms. And evidently, she succeeded.

I dont think ppl would be that shook if she tacked at least one more pop song on the album like Slide or Happiness, so we have a balance of experimental and pop on the album, kinda like we had balance of pop and folk on HR. If I understood correctly the only pop song on the album is Only Love and the rest is experimental like FL/ETA?

Did she ever work with Finneas? Because he’s constantly liking her pictures and has Kesha merch in his studio.

They had a session indeed, but nothing notable really came out of it
