SpaceOddity Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 I'm not somebody who needs songs to be catchy or pop but I just don't like overly mellow stuff so I'm not crazy about the singles. I still have hopes for the album, the photography is great.
Ghost Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Best songs of her career she seems to be in a completely different artistic lane than before!
BlackJesus Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 The person wearing a white coat choking her, the sleeve looks like a dr's coat.... **** DR Luke.
ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted April 28, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 28, 2023 Loving the singles more and more with every listen. I'm so deeply moved by Kesha, also heartbroken because you can literally feel the anguish throughout these two songs that she's had to endure for so long. For anyone who got to listen to the full record, are there any vocal moments like Praying or Father Daughter Dance? I love when she really goes all out with some belting (obviously don't need it all the time just curious if there were tracks that showcase her range?)

Club classic Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 The songs are excellent already but I know they are going to be even better in the context of the whole album. I feel uncomfortable listening to it because it’s so raw and honest and that’s what I like about it. I’m pretty sure that was her plan to make people uncomfortable!

Yeah based on the songs, the album cover and the visuals for this era she is definitely making a bold and powerful statement

austinsuxx Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Quote Gag Order was a fundamentally transformative collaboration. Rubin encouraged Kesha to turn radically inward to explore her own soul, instigating a challenging process of self-realization. “This life was never mine,” Kesha sings on “Fine Line.” “I can’t keep wasting time.” Gag Order sacrifices none. “This was the first time I ever made a record that wasn’t geared towards: ‘What’s the first single?’ ‘What’s going to perform well at radio?’ That was never a conversation. It was a beautiful change that I had never experienced before—to work with someone who valued me and wanted to bring out who I am without ever once considering the margin of profit”
Better Mistakes Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 The art direction of the visuals is stunning. Dare I say, they even top her Animal ones? There’s so much beauty, power and uncomfortableness to be held in simplicity
