I mean I know of Mitski and JB but I wouldn’t consider either of them to be popular.

they're some of the more/most popular "indie" or "underground" artists. i think that's what JoeAg was getting at.

I've played Rainbow and Cannibal the past few days in anticipation, both classics :jonnycat: I keep trying to dip back into High Road but it feels so cheesy in its production. I didn't need old electropop Kesha but I DEFINITELY didn't need the soccer mom Imagine Dragons-Meghan Trainor hybrid sound we got. Gag Order seems to be a course correction fs

Mitski is pretty popular, her last album debuted at #5. Kesha’s last album debuted at #7 so…

Omg I didn’t think about the fact that other time zones will probably get it early :jonnycat: even better!

how was rainbow a flop????

if its a release like Kelly's Mine / Me 2-track single release i'd go for whichever is track 1

but if theyre separate, ill go for ETA :jonnycat:

sorry honey turkey  i phrased that weirdly: Rainbow was not a flop

I can see BMG signing Kesha, they signed veterans/not as people as before artists like Avril/Rita/Kiley Minogue plus Avril/Kiley both got a decent push and seemed to have more creative control

it's funny cause every OTHER time I return to Laurel Hell I love it, but the other half of the time it feels a bit banal to me. also it's such a kiiii how on last.fm her top 10 hasn't had any Laurel Hell song in it since probably this time last year :skull: I WILL say that Heat Lightning is arguably my fav song she's ever written. that song is peak indie pop

I lowkey can’t believe they haven’t leaked (yet :eli:)

Are we sure they’re coming at midnight in NZ or do we have to wait to confirm?

I don't think its been confirmed anywhere but thats what she did for Praying and Raising Hell

Praying & Raising Hell (and all the promo singles) were released on Thursday morning EST.

If we’re going by the last RCA releases (SZA for example) they got released on Friday midnight EST. So probably NZ/AU won’t get it first.

I mean it could go either way. SZA's album was way more anticipated than Kesha hence why a midnight EST would make more sense.

Does anyone remember what they did for pink :rip: if we don't get it in like 5 hours I don't know how I'm going to be able to sleep tonight  :deadvision:

I don’t see a reason why they shouldn’t release songs at local midnight times. She doesn’t have the hype SZA had.
