Can’t help but feel like they don’t want to release same week as Kim P. Good decision if so.

the original release date for one of the songs was on a random week day anyways, so I don't think they care about being 'blocked' or charting

I didn’t mean that as much as people making annoying comparisons in general

oh yeah of course. I just think her team has extreme tunnel vision

So I'm guessing whatever was planned for this Friday has been scrapped or delayed (again) :dancehall:

Its understandable given the fact the Oral Argument was today but girl we need something concrete to hang on to. Its also getting closer and closer the album release date (if it is coming May 19).

The album is not coming may 19 :skull: I mean I’d love to be wrong but that is a FANtasy at this point

If the album is really coming on 19 May and she only just shot the album cover a couple of weeks ago (as she said in her IG live), then that means there might not be any physicals available during release week :katie:

Her previewing music doesn’t make any sense and it’s also very unwise to do that. If Kesha wins the oral arguments then that means she is free from her recording contract? The album is being recorded under that contract and therefore the current label will own the new unreleased music that has been recorded?

I don't know if I would call it unwise... I mean she has certainly built some hype with her fan base, but hasn't made any bigger impact yet.

If Kesha's team wins the oral argument that basically means Luke is screwed if he chooses to proceed to trial (as Luke would be legally considered a public figure, which makes his claims of defamation harder to 'prove' in court), in which case he will likely try and settle the case pre-trial. This doesn't mean Kesha is free from her contract, this is purely a defamation lawsuit against Kesha from Dr. Luke, with a best case scenario being Luke pays Kesha her legal fees (maybe some damages, not sure) and they go their separate ways. I'm not the expert though, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong @TomTom2288

I believe her contract with Sony is up after this album, so regardless of the outcome she is free to do as she pleases with K6 and onwards.

Rick Rubin gave a new interview to a big German newspaper and talked about K5 there!

Quote

So was ist in Ordnung.

Translation:

Quote

ZEITmagazin: "How do you know that something is ready?"

Rubin: "It's a feeling. And I never work alone. Usually, this is something both the artists and me feel. I just recorded an album with pop artist Kesha and I had already known 6 months before her that we were done. That's okay. Nothing got worse during those 6 months and some things changed and made her happy, that's nice. It can also be the other way around though. That the artists say that they are ready and I think that something unfulfilled remained and we still need time".

So nothing this week then :rip: honestly thought she’d release something this week seeing how the pre-save giveaway deadline was 20 April

this..

The plan was always to 'rebirth' on her birthday. The release date of songs was always up in the air, but the album is still coming in May. The rollout has been really bumpy, but I also don't think she's 'over hyped' anything, as she hasn't officially posted anything besides 2 snippets. I wish there was more announced to look forward to, but it IS coming in less than a month so it's not that far away now.

When it gets closer to release / being released, there will be a lot of interesting stuff to make up for the absence of engaging promo so far.

I like the idea of a ‘soft’ roll-out with a slow build but they needed to have content ready to be pushed every week to keep things a bit fresh and engaging. The IG lives she was doing were great for example.
