There is a fine line between options and indecision, I fear.

Did they keep switching the lead single/ release dates behind the scenes? :rip:

She did that with Rainbow i believe.

Her last two eras had very short gaps between singles/videos. I remember Raising Hell was release in late october, then My Own Dance late november, then Resentment in december, and the album came out in late january. I hope she does something similar this time around too, it creates more hype (at least for me) :jamming:

Rainbow had one month and a week, it was really effective with a new video every Thursday except Hymn, which was a fresh roll-out like nobody else. HR was tiring let’s be honest.

I thought they need to book playlist placement for promo in advance? Or there’s nothing for our kween  :gaycat7:

New video/promo single drop every week draws the attention from the lead and reduces the chance of a second single getting attention. It happened with Praying and Woman

I do not think she’s going to get a hit. :rip: Just my two cents. This is giving album moment.

I agree, it seems like they’re trying to set her up for a successful album than a hit or two, but I think there’s a chance she could score a moderate hit, I think it would be post album release though.

ETA and Fine Line sounds nothing like a hit tho. Praying for her app could do wonder picking a single for her. :gaycat7:They was right with Rainbow, at the end of the day, a #1 is a #1 that’s a WIN. Now a top 10 album is more realistic expectation for her. :matty:

She will never get a sizeable hit again and I doubt she will pull a lot of album sales, even if the album is great. It's time to move on from that mentality and just hope she can win some people over like when she dropped Rainbow.

Okay but we’re also allowed to be optimistic no? I don’t think anyone expected Miley to get another smash hit and then Flowers happened. Things are so unpredictable at the moment, especially with Tik Tok, so I don’t think anything is impossible but I’m also not expecting the leads to be smash hits.

Her team could be silent for now bc she has oral argument in court tomorrow. After that they might continue with promo plans again or re-adjust plans accordingly to what might happen in said oral argument.

I’m just not getting why they won’t release anything considering it has been ready for some time and the supposed album release date is getting closer and closer.

If the dates have changed again when we were so close I… :gaycat7:

I'm wondering if there'll be echoes of Rainbow on this album

love a lot of High Road, but the escapist, retreating sort of vibes were not quite what many of us were hoping for after the empowering, for the rafters, self-exploratory, adventurousness of Rainbow. don't get me wrong, I will stream anything this woman puts out at this point for MANY reasons, she's got a fan for life in me. I just really loved how liberating the Rainbow era felt, and I think she has a lot more of that to explore in her career... another ballad like Praying would slay for sure, as would another synthy empowerment anthem like Hymn, which somehow never fully veered into cheesefest territory. another power pop barnstormer like Let 'Em Talk? that would be pop song of the year contender. the balance of emotional vulnerability and renewed confidence in Rainbow made it her best album with a bullet 🥹 lemme give it a full stream tonight. no other pop album makes me feel quite the same way Rainbow does

I’m only asking for something half this good, please.
