Gag Order is an iconic title for her last album under Luke’s contract :jonny4: We’re not ready

Ugh this is going to be so good. Can’t believe she’s finally giving what she should give

It seems like she’s saved (or found) her voice for this record…. We’re not ready :WAP:

Probably on Tuesday

I would love something like this as the cover. She’d better announce it next Tuesday (so I’ll C U Next…). oh, and it’s… April the 18th.

I've been re-listening to High Road for the first time since 2020 and maybe she made several points.

Still her worst album by far, but it has bops.

it has such depressing undertones, idk how to fully explain it

like it sounds like she's trying to have fun but not ever fully getting there. I love certain tracks off of it, but overall yeah it's a noticeable step down from Rainbow. I could very much do without the first two tracks and BFF tbh

I think it was symbolic of where she was at at the time though, i think she was severely depressed but also trying to enjoy life and I think it comes through on the album. Someone also mentioned that she may have felt pressured to put the album out even though she wasn’t feeling it/making music, which would explain why almost half of it is outtakes from previous projects

oh no I totally agree! I definitely could see the element of potentially feeling pressured to release it, there's just a lot to unpack with the whole era. Rainbow was all about uplifting and reckoning with trauma and embodying HOPE, while High Road was like... what's next? it's hard to enjoy life at this point in time but sometimes you gotta party and feel some sense of escapism. the folky songs on the album feel particularly depressing, but very beautiful. I think a lot of critical assessments underrated the ballads tbh...

Honestly I really hope we get a tell all documentary or interview when the legal stuff is finally sorted because she’s been so MIA the last like 10 years up until a few months ago. It would be fascinating to know what’s actually been going on, particularly on the music side of things.

so can we finally expect an actual announcement soon?

Gag Order as a title is SO badass :jonnycat:

It would be weird to have Gag Order as the album title if the songs are personal and soft themed like ETA and Fine Line. But I would be here so much for the BDSM Leather Latex aesthetics.
