It‘s not abandoned, but album threads are open for six months now instead of three, so they can be used for much longer. This thread will be closed in two months.

Indeed, it might seem unconventional, but there is an undeniable connection. Twitter and Instagram fans consistently criticize her for her unconventional collaborations. When you have an audience from the LGBT community, they naturally expect a higher level of accountability due to shared experiences, particularly regarding issues like assault. The constant mention of Kesha arises because Kim Petras collaborates with an individual who played a significant role in Kesha's life, causing a decade-long halt to her career until he abandoned his lawsuit. And Kim has defended him. Doja Cat worked with Luke but never defended him.

 

Jessie Saint John, known for tampering with the beverages of young men, is also credited with producing Kim Petras' album, and this is a topic of discussion among people. People don't like the fact that the first "mainstream" Trans pop star is a deplorable person who chooses to work with these men. 

 

Its not the fans of Kesha who bring her up but rather the Queer community as a collective whole because of the elephant in the room. 

 

There's no doubt that Kim Petras has bops. She also has:

- The looks

- The Paris Hilton voice everyone loves

- High quality photoshoots 

- An eye for fashion 

 

But what will always overshadow that is her willingness to work with these men. Everyone's faves, one way or another, works with sketchy people. But some don't go to the extent to defend them at all times. Gaga worked with Terry Richardson and RKelly and condemned them both and still has a strong connection to the Queer community. Christina Agurlar, years ago, has said tons of Transphobic things but she's still a Queer ally and has also condemned what she's done in the past. 

 

I'm not trying to be holier-than-thou but I'm just saying why Kesha will always be lingering somewhere. The same way when P Diddy is talked about, all the girl groups he screwed over will be mentioned.

Agreed. It's time to move on. These fights are so unproductive and meaningless at this point. 

 

Both ladies are bombing hard so maybe the fans on both sides need to focus on saving their careers, I fear.  (One of them barely ever had one but you get the point)

While I agree the whole Kim/kesha stan wars needs to be left in the past, her dropping Problematique… whose name was basically born out of her being called out for defending Dr luke is in poor taste and thus should be subject to criticism. 
 

It’s sad because I’m a fan of her sound/some of her music, but she continues to surround herself with these awful disgusting abusive men, it’s hard to defend that.

We're so lucky to have a true magnum opus like this to enjoy whenever.

You can really tell that she worked on this for more than 3 years. The amount of details and attention in the production. The way the vocals are stacked. The fact that everything sounds so cohesive. 

 

We won't be getting something like that anytime soon, I fear.
