Cuteeee… we need her as a judge again on RPDR, with them actually lip syncing to a Kesha song this time. I have no doubt she would’ve been pestering Michelle about it so fingers crossed.

edit: a lip sync to OLCSUN or Peace and Quiet would be everything (and great promo for GO too)

I guess there was no fat settlement check as per Luke's wife.

First, I wouldn't believe any word that comes out of this woman's mouth.

Second, even if there was no direct payment (which I can see being true because I highly doubt Luke wants to directly pay her), there must be a money equivalent like masters or something because it clearly said in the settlement statements that there has been a "resolution" and that surely must be more than putting out a paragraph each and drop everything (especially because the entire contractual element of the lawsuit was still outstanding too, besides the defamation claims).

Third, even if he didn't pay directly for the statement, that does not foreclose payments generally as part of the settlement.

He probably just ended all contracts and paid her all the royalties he withheld and that's it. The masters thing is complicated because Sony owns the masters (or at least is renting them for a long time) so I don't think it's entirely up to him.

It could have been legal fees or parts thereof too or something else. In high-profile cases, usually the lawyers involved get a percentage of the settlement money if it exists because they often work on contingency, so for that reason alone there surely must be something.

Amber Heard "only" had to pay Johnny Depp one million dollars because he had already won the jury trial and could live without the money, but even that wasn't nothing at all and here there was no trial.

Gag Order is a contender for her best album and a course-correction from the damage her team did to her career over the past few years. We should be evaluating it as a successful pivot for her brand and a triumph for her artistry.

She's hired new management and retained a new publicist. Time will tell, but I think most of us are content with the fact that she's no longer a commercial artist (sorry!) and these weekly histrionics and back-and-forths about "what went wrong" accomplish nothing and only create unneeded animosity amongst an already small fanbase.

this album just finally clicked with me properly and I'm in tears. I decided to take a walk to my local record store to pick this up

Her shows in Orlando, Ledyard, New York, Toronto, Prior Lake, Oakland and LA are virtually sold out (no standard tickets left or only a few dozen).

Now we need the rest to sell out too within the next 2 months.

say it!

tbh, now that it's been 4 months, Fine Line > Eat the Acid. (both 10/10, but Fine Line lyrics, delivery, production, everything is immaculate and it's the center piece of the whole album along OLCSUN).

Completely agree!

I wouldn't skip Eat The Acid when I listen to the whole album, but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it (unlike Fine Line).

Yeah I feel like if you’re not a huge kesha stan the album may take a few listens to click but when it does…. Whew child.

It truly is the best body of work she’s put out. with Rainbow a close second, and animal + cannibal not far behind.

Yeah ETA ended up not having much replay value, even though I thought it was going to be my favourite based off the snippet :rip:. I feel like it should’ve been a minute shorter than what it was.

Fine Line is a masterpiece however. I may not always be in the mood to put it on but when it comes on, my poor wig.
