Its very strange indeed... and as much as I love Lizzo, Doja, Ariana, the more popstars that out themselves as shitty problematic people the more reason people have to stan our sweet, kind-hearted, unproblematic queen.

I thought the same thing, but didn’t wanna say it . Really puts into perspective what an amazing, kind and unproblematic human being she is.

if she keeps this up with her social and keeps increasing engagement, I really think the next album has a good chance at being more successful than GO. She's so naturally funny and charismatic. and the world hasnt really gotten to see that since her debut (where she was often called a drunk skank lol).

Yes, the veil has been lifted and people are here for it :jonny:.

I really do feel like the future is bright for her, and I'm praying to the gay gods the next album is some kind of AC dance album ala Robyn, Jessie Ware, Roisin Murphey etc... The gays just need something they can bop to and I feel like mixing her current sound with the more adult contemporary dance sound could really do wonders for her.

“gay gods” :deadbanana2:

The mere fact alone that she could do absolutely ANYTHING next and nobody has even remotely an answer on what it’s gonna be because her possibilities are endless in terms of both what she is capable of artistically and what is possible for her post-settlement :jonny:.

Literally! She is arguably one of the most versatile pop girls we have and the world doesn't even know.

I'm here for whatever she wants to do but I also love the idea of bopping to her in the club again if she does want to go down the dance/electronic route again. I just hope if she does she isn't trying to re-hash her early sound like she did with High Road. But regardless, excited for whats to come. Hopefully once she is officially free she pulls a Taylor and starts releasing random projects more frequently.

Tbh I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she is a lot more active and engaged socially now that the lawsuit is over. The win has definitely given her a second wind and we’re loving it! She really said I’m not working until it’s on my terms and doesn’t benefit my abuser :clap3:

I love this take.

I do think a big part of her being mia from social media though was a precaution for the lawsuit. But yes I definitely feel like she’s making a point to be like I’m finally free and I’m ******* here *****.

The tour is performing really well so far in my opinion.

Still over 3 months to go, but floor tickets for her 4k-capacity show in LA in November just switched to light blue on Ticketmaster and they made additional standing room sections available for her 5k-Boston show last month because it was selling well. There are less than 300 tickets left for her 4k-capacity show in Connecticut.

Not super huge venues obviously, but very good given that the Rainbow Tour‘s highest reported box office audience was 3k in Atlanta and for an artist who hasn’t had commercial success in half a decade.

The only shows that aren’t as close to being sold out yet are the ones with more expensive tickets, like $70+ for nosebleed seats instead of $50 like the majority of shows, so not a bad sign.

She should definitely add more legs to the tour and most importantly a Europe leg…she hasn’t toured here since 2013 which is outrageous. Even though she‘s never been massive here, I don’t see why they can’t book a few smaller venues in big cities like Berlin, Paris, etc.

Unrelated, but does anyone else think it’s wild how everyone either started acting problematic and/or is facing a big storm right after Kesha got freed (Ariana, Doja Cat, Lizzo)?

It‘s like she got out of her turmoil and everyone else immediately jumped into their own to make up for it :deadbanana:.

That’s just the Question for the Culture enchantment taking place.

Gag Order has surpassed Rainbow in ratings on RYM, becoming her second most-rated album behind Animal.

It's also her most-rated album on AOTY.

Animal was too smart and nuanced for the GP to understand at the time :siptea:
