bearman Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Speaking of the remixes, this one was such a banger.

ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted June 22, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 22, 2023 I like that she's/her team are still making content and pushing this era (even if it's just through social media and remixes.) Gag Order and Kesha deserve the world 1
Bubble Tea Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Something clicked with me last week and I saw the light - absolutely OBSESSED with Gag Order. The second half is so strong. I was having a big writing session while playing the album and I honestly fell into some kind of a trance. It was magical. It's a terrific album. I think her best in years. (Better than the last two IMHO) No bangers like they have but something is just so rich about it. 1 1

collin Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Bizarre end to this story… leaves a little bit to be desired sadly.

I get you, but her being able to push one of the most powerful men in the entertainment industry with endless resources into a settlement only 9 days after he got defeated at the highest court of a US state in his own case that he built up for the past 9 years without a trial at all is a massive win for Kesha. This is not what Kesha deserves in an ideal world, but this is by far the best option among the available ones. She's not gonna be the next Amber Heard and that is not a given at all. 2

I was talking to my coworkers today (one of whom is very pop culture oriented) and the consensus was this was a win, even if it leaves much to be desired. She made a comment about how this could have easily turned into an Amber Heard debacle and this settlement avoided it. 1

gettsleazy Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Something to Believe In / Eat the Acid / Living in my Head / Fine Line run hitting extra hard today. 1
TomTom Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I still can't believe what happened yesterday actually happened, it's simply too surreal. Literally a month between the album and settlement. 1
ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted June 23, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 23, 2023 Agreed. It feels unreal. This whole process that has spanned years and years, been the topic of so much debate, caused such irrevocable damage, frustration, and hopelessness and now suddenly it's just over. At least the legal element. I honestly can't fathom it right now, it's like I'm still in shock. I have a feeling this album is going to endure and grow to represent a lot of things (it already does but even more.) I just really hope she's doing okay, at least as okay as can be. 2
