smartalek22 Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 I was never really a High Road fan. It's the only Kesha album I've listened to and didn't click for me. Though, the singles and smooth rollout for this album convinced me to check it out and left me pleasantly surprised.

I think it serves its purpose in her discography and certainly contains 2-3 career highlights. It has a desperation and feigned positivity to it that in retrospect is actually kind of tragic in a way, it was a cry for help from someone lost Edited May 24, 2023 by collin 1
gettsleazy Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 Her monthly listeners are increasing well. Glad this album is introducing her to a new audience.
JoeAg Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 I love her sm she honestly is fighting Caroline for Joekind's AOTY THAT'S how good Gag Order is!!
bearman Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 The album is dying for an NPR Tiny Desk Concert and that can do wonders.
cyclone Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 (edited) The way the label is treating this album is not shocking at all.. is it that hard to book some damn talk show appearances or film some acoustic performances? The fastest era ever.. Edited May 24, 2023 by cyclone
Karla Cabello Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 this album was ok for me... her fans made it seem like it was some experimental masterpiece... it was cute.. i liked peace & quiet and eat the acid

Gorjesspazze9 Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 I wish Eat the acid had a crazy drop in the last 15 seconds of the song. Like 3 minutes of build up and it leads to nothing 1 1
dooart Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 I can't stop playing this. This album is like fine wine each time i listen to it it just gets better 2

cyclone Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 (edited) This was a good interview and I love hearing her speak on her life. She has been through trauma as a huge pop star and it is inspiring to see her power through it and find ways to cope. Kesha on not wearing wigs (2023): Quote "I used to wear so much makeup, and again, it was really fun, but now.. I'm not wearing wigs, I'm not wearing a ton of makeup, like just really showing who I am, presenting who I really am. It's so much scarier but it's also very liberating and I'm finding real power in that." "I would beg for auto-tune, and [Rubin] was like 'you don't need it' and then the engineer would be like 'you don't need it'. And that kind of blew my mind. It was about the same time I was like, huh, maybe I don't have to wear wigs. Maybe I could just have my hair! Like, it was an unraveling of all of these illusions.." Edited May 24, 2023 by cyclone
