Steve Johnson Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I hope Taylor gets that 8th week #1. Miley then take #1 spot for as long as she wants. Taylor, Miley
Cloröx Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I think people in here underestimating Flowers

KB and Flowers moreso than AH cuz AH has already peaked If anything, Miley's song is the most organic here
IBeMe Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Ideal scenario for me: - Anti Hero gets an 8th week at #1 and becomes Taylor's longest running #1 - Flowers tops the next week and blocks Kill Bill but only for a week - Kill Bill replaces Flowers' hot shot debut at #1 and goes #1 for a couple of weeks because it's so strong (so like 4 weeks or so) - And finally Flowers builds up enough radio points and steam to top again for a couple more weeks also
theREALslimSHADY Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Miley getting a #1 months after selena got a golden globe nomination fits with my tween fantasy!

I think Kill Bill will be announced as #1 tomorrow so it'd be cool if Miley got the #1 next week. Kill Bill will definitely return to the summit with SZA's stable performance whereas Miley will likely depend on radio growth to reach the summit (again) It'd be great if Kill Bill gets it this week, Miley gets it for a few and maybe Kill bill returns. taylor has had many weeks so it'd be great to have back to back to back technically to back if you include Mariah female #1 songs
Sinister Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Technically, since October 8 chart date the Girls and the Gurls have occupied the top spot Steve Lacy Sam Smith/Kim Taylor Swift Mariah

It feels wrong that Rich Flex isn't a #1 when it had the 2nd highest peaking song of 2022, especially considering that the formula lowered points by up to 20% starting that week:
spree Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 watch Taylor release a bunch of signed digital singles again.

Popboi. Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I would love for Anti-Hero to get an 8th week and pass Blank Space, but with Flowers showing staying power I hope SZA gets the #1 before Miley debuts
Bethenny Frankel Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Miley will get it the week after at least if SZA gets it this week

Me! Had insane/astronomical first week numbers in 2019, but Old Town Road was just bigger. Sometimes it happens. Sucks, but it happens

AH, KB and Flowers were/are all huge upon release. Not really seeing much of a difference tbh. They’re all huge in on-demand streaming which shows all 3 are just as organic as the next with the GP.

Poor eyelashers, those were frustrating weeks, happily Miss Eyelash ended up topping the chart for a week.
Soda Pop Queen Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 The last 12 months have truly been a renaissance for adult females on the Hot 100. Every female #1 in the last year has been by someone aged 30-40, most of which are industry veterans. I don't think we've seen this many "older"/veteran women topping the chart since 1998-99. I hope the trend continues this year. It's been off to a good start so far and now with SZA (aged 33) and Miley (aged 30 but has been around for 16-17 years now) looking to battle fot the top spot next week, it looks like the slay will continue.
JoeAg Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 the way Kill Bill has suddenly clicked super hard for me in the last 24 hours now I'm rooting for both it and Flowers love Anti-Hero too but it's time for one of these other two to take overrrr
Green Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I don't think there's a competition anymore. Miley did over 3.1 million in the 4th day on US Spotify
