Discounts and radio deals and playlist placements and whatever else y’all try to disavow are just promotional tactics, but they don’t guarantee a songs success. It still has to be liked enough by the consumers to have those promotional tactics pay off. Thus, organic.

I’m not sure what song you’re referring to. Recent radio hits such as Anti Hero, As It Was, and Unholy have all performed exceptionally well in all metrics (sales & streams) so they are definitely organic hits. If you’ve got a song in mind that was blatantly obvious payola and also obstructed other songs that were actual hits from charting higher, by all means let’s discuss them. But as of now, calling Kill Bill’s competition inorganic when it’s been a stable hit in all viable metrics is just preposterous.

It would be so petty because she already has 7 weeks at #1   while SZA could get her first #1 ever and Miley could get her second #1 after almost 10 years.
