Yet, it gave her and Bizarrap the record for most-streamed Latin song in a single day. None of his other songs show up in the top 20 of that list. Media outlets are overlooking Bizarrap completely and focusing entirely on Shakira and the subject matter of the lyrics.
aesthetic bih Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 She should announce an album already and include this on it!

Shakira started her career way before J Lo and her flops usually do 100M on Spotify. JLos last hit was probably Aint Your Mama and before that On The floor. Before that she had the early 00s that Shakira was also a part of. It was never a competition. Te Felicito, Monotonia and now this track probably have more cumulative Spotify and YouTube numbers than everything jlo released together in like a decade. I won’t even mention Xtina.

Cope with what? Giving all credit to Shakira is simply incorrect, that's a fact. If you're unaware of him that's another story. They both contribute to the song's success.

All of his songs are events at this point, but the clear main driving point of this song's success is Shakira being an international superstar + famous football player + cheating scandal. Session #52 debuted with 4.6M Session #53 debuted with 14.4M On YT, #52 has 5M likes. #53 already has 6.7M. Like bffr. He is contributing SOME success, obviously, but most is certainly Shakira and the drama. Edited January 14, 2023 by Gaia

The media was hyping this song because everyone knew Shaki was gonna drag that man and she delivered.
