Something is going on. Taylor stans can act like this isn't indicative of a trend. She pissed alot of people off with that tour and those multiple album/singles she just expected people to buy with no question.

Only thing going on is post holiday season pure sales drop for an album that already sold 1.8M.

An album artist. Love that for her.

The gap with Midnights are big now so dont even bother. But hopefully Midnights still got some more weeks at #1 later on when the tour start or when those damm 3am CD release.

It makes sense now why Taylor was fighting hard for a number 1 last week. That was her last chance of topping BB200

SOS (Deluxe) will boost the album even bigger and it won't leave the top 10 until next year

Well, I hope they're wrong and that she crosses 89k. :redface:

 

Pure sales collapsing is not that surprising, it was the 46k predicted early last week that was. I'm a bit surprised that they are predicted her SEA to go down though, considering that at least on Spotify, Midnights has been performing better this week than last week. Maybe it's gaining more WW than in the US.

We are still looking at a 40k units difference between Midnights and Dangerous. With the tour coming up, I doubt it'll catch up anytime soon.

Taylor getting a load of #2 weeks is fine - her total units so far are insane anyway thanks to the first few weeks. SZA’s hold this week is incredible and it’s good to see that the artist ahead of Taylor is someone who deserves the moment and is setting records. It’s been such a good time on the BB200 lately.

 

I'm excited to see how long Midnights lasts in the top ten and how well it does on the year-end chart for 2023 - 80k on its 12th week, and after a 1.6m opening, is phenomenally impressive. If Lover’s incredible longevity is any indication, Midnights could still have a long, slow burn ahead of it - I wonder if it could even end up her third biggest album in US units?

this makes even more sense to the haters as to why Taylor tried to compete and snatch that one last week at #1 last week. She knew it was likely going to be her last chance (unless she releases physicals of the 3AM version which apparently wont be happening). Damn...a mega album only spending 5 weeks feels weird. 5 weeks is tons but by how huge it was it should have at least matched Folklore's 8 weeks tbh :'(
