It's weird how at 18 you can be considered legally responsible for yourself, go to war, etc etc but if you have sex with someone over 25, you're being groomed and have no agency.

If the state considers them mature enough to drive (and potentially be a threat to other people's lives) and vote (lord have mercy) then yeah I guess they're adults and should be treated as such. That doesn't mean ppl who were creeping on them before they were of age ain't freaks though.

just a side note: you can go to war at 18 because the government knows it's easier to recruit and indoctrinate impressionable people who don't fully understand the consequences of major life altering decisions, not because that's when you're an adult lol.

There's a difference between "going to war" and making simple every day life decisions. In countries where 18 year old males have to go through mandatory military service, they just go through with it bc it's sth the governement won't let you get away with easily. It has nothing to do with brainwashing.

they deserve the right to vote, to get married etc. but not to drive. too many accidents happen with 18-21 yr olds

Right even a 16 or 17 year old can be tried as an adult if they commit a crime but people cry over even 21 year olds dating older people

If the question is supposed to be if they are young or grown up, then yes, an 18 year old is still incredibly young. You have hardly lived at that point.
