Are 18 years olds adults or "still children"?

Should 18 years olds be treated like adults or children? Keep it cute.

 

I kindly ask people who will vote for "children" to say what in their opinion the age of being considered an adult should be.

They're adults. Which, of course, doesn't mean they won't still make dumb decisions, but the same can be said about 50-year olds. At one point you just need to let people take responsibility for themselves, and in most countries on this planet the age at which they are allowed to do that is 18.

The age of maturity discourse is played out. The sad reality is young people are targeted by exploitative systems (credit card companies, military, liquor/tobacco sales, OnlyFans, gambling) & victims of poor circumstance due to their lack of experience. Being sheltered leaves you with little street smarts & makes you vulnerable. Nothing teaches you responsibility like making the wrong choices. Chronological age doesn’t equal maturity, you have to get ****** over to learn what’s up & to be more cautious. Some never learn & keep getting ****** over & those are the people who point fingers & fail to examine how they’re always finding themselves in bad situations. Easier to blame others than practice good judgment & self control

Some 18 year olds  have graduated and are completely out of School system and in the workforce to take care of themselves. They have responsibilities as adults. Not everyone is shelters like twitter losers.

I feel 20/21 should be the legal age.

They're adults in the legal sense but having a fetish that makes you attracted to the abusive power dynamics of being able to dominate someone with less resources and experience as you makes you an abusive weirdo and you should be avoided at all costs. 

 

And the same goes for people who seek out older partners because they feel dominate in those relationships.

It completely depends on the person. There's 18 years old people that are more mature and rational than some people on their 30s or older

Adults. The law says you are an adult on 18. If I got treated as an adult at 18 then so will everyone else. If u disagree with that then go do something about it.

There are no power dynamics in Leo’s relationships. The girls he dates come from richer and more powerful families than him

i turned 19 in september and don't feel like a child anymore. but my growing process is still going on.. when i was 18 between september 2021-early 2022 i used to be super immature just like a child tho but rn adulting is hittin
