sha-nasty Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 (edited) Songs like Break the Rules & Die Tonight were a juvenile digression in her discography, but Boom Clap doing well probably had the label making the more basic songs of the album sessions make the final track list. I mean there are a lot of good pop songs on there that would be great for others, but are just passable compared to Charli's other efforts. But Charli's voice makes anything sound like a hit. lmnoc1 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 No and Break the Rules is her best song The album bang hard like Melodrama, the hard beat is made for dancefloor cant say the same about some other unlistenable stuff from her (no angel, 1999, boys, focus are some of these songs) and those too artsy stuff that will just stay underground.

It’s a very accesible record and very energetic and aggressive full of catchy hooks and choruses. It’s a very upbeat record to enjoy while working out, walking, playing video games or even just being on a car drive
Ewan Chaos Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 No it's not. The fact that it's on the lower end of the spectrum for her albums speaks volumes to how good Charli's music is. I personally think it's her second worst album (N1A is my least favorite and even that has fantastic songs) and agree that it was better in 2014 both before we knew what was to come from Charli and because that year was overall pretty bad for music, though.

There’s some enjoyable songs but it’s definitely her worst project with some of her most boring songs Even the song that everyone overrates (Need Ur Love) is GOD awful. zasderfght Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 It's better than True Romance, but anyone saying SUCKER is Charli's best project when albums like how I'm feeling now and Charli exist is just laughable. Heck, even her EPs (Vroom Vroom, Number 1 Angel, and Pop 2) are way better than Charli's first two studio albums. Alas, I think even CRASH, which I wanted to go harder, is even better than Sucker.

I really like her discography in fact, probably one of the most interesting pop girl discographies to date and nothing is bad.

Break the Rules ALSO aged like wine! when it first came out, i was disappointed with how it sounded after the smashery of Boom Clap, but it sounds better than ever these days
