Jay Fenty Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Talent won Lana Del Rey is an American icon and is beloved by Americans and internationals worldwide alike.. she is a national treasure and admired for her beauty talent lyrics and musical delivery.. not everyone can have that, not everyone can represent the values that we love as much as Lana Del Rey can, she’s a different kind of special.

Quote "Record labels may be small, localized and "independent" ("indie"), or they may be part of a large international media group, or somewhere in between. As of 2012, there are only three labels that can be referred to as "major labels" (Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group)" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Record_label#Major_versus_independent_record_labels XL Records has no affiliation with any of the major labels. By industry definitions, it is not a major label. Adele always wins.

I just wish it had actual singles success when the album was new. It had singles success, just not in the U.S. She was COMPLETELY inored that era in the U.S. It's not really fair, she could've had one of the biggest eras of all time had they shifted the focus from worldwide success and promoted it more in America.

I know! And I'm pretty sure a lot of it can be attributed to her SNL performance. She got so much backlash from that and it caused a lot of critics to turn on her... and didn't exactly do much to entice US viewers to check her out. Blue Jeans, Video Games, and the title track deserved to be bigger here.

And to think that in 2012 many labeled her as a fake fraud (kind of like Halsey last year), but she pulled through and proved her talent right and the haters wrong Edited May 29, 2017 by Blue Jeans
