Batter Up is awful. Another leftover from that company that hasn't produced quality in years. Also, I just knew they were going to make teen girls sing about being the best and ruling the world because there isn't an ounce of originality left in the YGE building. What a disaster. :rip:

'I'm on a mission, don't need permission. No matter what, I'm gonna make my own decisions' sings a 16-year-old girl :deadbanana2:

'Like a boss baby, I'ma boss, baby' sings a 17-year-old girl. :deadbanana2:

The lack of charisma, flavor and personality as well :bibliahh:

This is the first YG girl group for me that lacks personality. Maybe it’s because it’s their first big gg. But half the girls look like they’d be in a nugu girl group which isn’t YGs usually vibe. I’m used to YG idols having distinct looks and voices and performance skills.

They lack so much charisma maybe it’s the ages. But yeah… not a good follow up to BP albeit they have like 600k likes in an hour on YouTube so the YG fanbase is still as strong as ever

Maybe people is use to not progression just like BP debut, you do it once but not twice

It's like they tried to come full circle with what they were aiming for but the charisma just isn't there yet

Swi.T/Big Mama: lets steal from TLC/Toni Braxton and make it K-Pop

2NE1: BigBang but women

Blackpink: 2NE1 but pretty it girls

Baby Monster: Blackpink but youthful aces

Charisma…:giraffe:

Blackpink never lacked in this department

the rap seems technically better then bp but Jennie and Lisa are mothers who know how to serve

rosè and Jisoo vocals color wise are stronger and stand out but mesh well better then baby monster vocal line imo

Exactly. Ruka and Asa are future main slayers but they literally just got the rap lines and that's it. The Baemon vocal line may be stronger than Rosè/Jisoo but they don't have the unique colors to help them stand out. Ahyeon probably would have ran away with all the star power if she was there tbh :deadbanana4:

And the GP still eat up everything they put out. Truly the Mcdonald of Kpop

These lyrics are serving Scheisse by Gaga a bit

I haven’t listened to Baemon’s debut are they half of what Fire/Boombayah was?

See how nobody gives thumbs up to baemon positive mentions but give a ton of thumbs down if you touch ugly ass teddy BP music, see how baemon has no stans in KTRL if it wasn't for BP blink wouldn't give a **** in here

The way NMIXX and Baemon are among the most talented GG from their generation but their debuts have no impact. OO carbon copy of Next level, batter up a dated YG song. Add the fact they have no charisma as whole.

It's more like if Treasure sang Lisa's Money

Maybe a controversial take but I feel like talent doesn't matter if you don't have the charisma to pull it off, NMIXX and now BaeMon are further proving my point

What's the point of being a top-tier dancer or singer if you don't look interesting pulling it off? Might as well be  a backup dancer or backing singer then

Baby Monsters did it for 1/1 so far and better than BP debut output that was 0/2

Objectively we can say whistle and boombayah were definitely 2/2

I’m not a Blink by any means of the word but their output was completely different than anything at that time and was very refreshing to say the least

Their output was definitely strong until DDDD. After that it became really formulaic and rehashes for the most part which is a shame since they had the potential to have some of the stronger output from YG that wouldn’t have been as dated

It’s the same as when Bang PD said TXT will enter top 20 of Billboard Hot 100

Do ENHYPEN have a wester label? I know hybe has connections with interscope-geffen, I think if Lisa, Tate, and a group like ENHYPEN could succeed with RCA now they don't have a lot huge starts other than Tate

Well yeah but see how a great concept/art direction sells the group with New Jeans, NMIXX was more of the Aespa/Loona lore to be something new, baby dumplings literally have nothing close to a concert just as BP didn't have it either

I lowkey think Pharita could be a star, her “sting like a bee” part was fire and made me pay attention

can’t remember any of the other girls besides Chiquita tho but that’s just because she’s miniLisa

Nope :) poor ENGODPEN get treated like step-siblings because they're BELIFT not Big Hit.

idk I think the song as a whole is pretty good, the chorus is kinda growing on me after a few listens

the chorus choreo looks fun. unfortunately baseball season just ended :rip:

anybody who recommends RCA for a group does not know what Tinashe and Britney had to go through

horrible label

I wonder if aespa will challenge for #1 this week since it continued to increase all of last week and won some awards this weekend.

I don’t think Drama deserves to be their first or maybe only #1 hit but I guess it’s better than their awful #2 peaks :rip:
