I don't know if it's just me, but everything about K-POP has become so boring and predictable, there's nothing exciting anymore except NewJeans.

hmmm Batter Up isn’t BAD but it literally just feels like a Blackpink song with better vocals

 

O.O was **** but at least it established NMIXX as a separate entity from their sisters ITZY, and Dalla Dalla made them stand out from Twice who stood out from Miss A, Wonder Girls

 

same with the SM girls and their debuts, Weeekly standing out from Apink (even their take on cute was different from Apink’s original sound), etc

 

i think having an identity as a company is one thing, but there still has to be SOME differentiation

 

then again this is the company that gave Blackpink 2NE1’s leftovers for a bit so I shouldn’t be surprised

the MV did nothing to introduce the members. their styling is so generic. we can tell who is rose 2.0 and lisa 2.0 but the rest are serving background singers

2ne1 debuted in their mid 20's (Dara and Bom) and CL/Minzy look really mature in their teens

 

BP debuted in their early 20's

 

these group only has one member in 20

this was such a MOMENT that even now that I don’t stan the music very much I still tune into every release and am waiting to hear about renewal news
