Pre sale is not looking good for IVE in Mexico, lets see how it does tomorrow in the general sale.

It backfired and they got scared

So basically she has extended health issues and they just had to replan the debut rollout without her since they couldn’t wait any longer :deadbanana4: the time is just tragic for their last minute planning

plus with BP being booked day after Christmas truly serves contract updates in January :gaycat6: looks like will be waiting until after Baemon’s first comeback with her; truly a PWF teas

That Taeyeon clip is giving me artsy fartsy vibes. Let's hope the Koreans will embrace it, I want another smash!

Her mini album title tracks tend to flop or at least underperform for her standards :rip:

Something New

Why

What Do I Call You

Only I smashed because it was her debut (and 10/10 song).

Maybe this can finally be her 2nd mini album title track smash

Everytime I listen to Savage I bust out laughing at all the high notes at the end:deadbanana: it’s like the girls had personal beef with the beat

it’s just so camp, they stepped into the studio mad as hell :jonnycat:

There is a vibrational and spiritual darkness that comes out of that one company truth be told :deadbanana2: it’s something so unparalleled and feels straight out of a horror movie

Jinni, Ahyeon, Garam and Soojin....

they are all following the HyunA print I fear

it's only a matter of time before they shave their eyebrows off and get into on-again-off-again relationships with the human embodiment of what could only be described as "wet shoes"

Yes, I hope it’s just silly rumors from stupid people online. given that some of the other girls seem to have had work done in the last few months despite their ages and that I’ve known trainees in person so I know the pressures to get work done no matter how beautiful you are after signing the debut contract right before debut I just hope that she’s alright what ever the situation is. The agency’s handling also seems terrible in that they couldn’t clarify if she was even still a member and even if just to protect their stock price it’s giving dark energy.

YG is so lost :rip: Hope Ahyeon is okay though and maybe it'll end up being a Seolhyun situation.

I've been listening through Chill Kill a lot the past day or so and I think I've figured out how I feel about it. The album is a nicely produced and well-sung collection of, at best, 7.5/10 demos that fit Red Velvet's style, but they're not very interesting. The title track attempts to do something but I'm not sure it really works. I feel similarly about it as I do Drama which is that it sounds like they got a writing camp together, played them a bunch of Red Velvet title tracks, and said "Okay, make something like this." It sounds like they tried to combine Psycho and RBB, kind of, and I'm really not a fan of when artists start to do a pastiche of themselves. It's a good song, I just don't know what its identity is in their discography. I kind of think a different production style could've elevated it because it's very, like. Clicky and chirpy. And then it has that weird wobbly bass and like 2 seconds of synths once in a while. It just sounds thin and tinny a lot of the time. The bridge and last chorus are great, though. I'm glad they let Joy handle that high part in the bridge cause it was really refreshing to hear her get a vocal moment.

And re: the production, I feel like the whole album has that same consistent production style that is very percussion-forward (except for Will I Ever See You Again, which is a whole other conversation) so it all feels cohesive but it's just...kind of...bland. None of the songs are bad, they're all totally listenable and enjoyable, they're just not very interesting. Great singing, and nice melodies, but largely unremarkable. There's not a lot of color going on. I don't think it helps that Knock Knock, One Kiss, and Nightmare all have a "dark fairytale" vibe with similar melodic elements and textures.

Overall I think it's very in line with their past few minis which have been the same way - well-made, but very safe with kind of thin production. That being said, I still enjoy the album (honorable mention to Underwater, one of their most rnb-forward songs ever, though ironically I think it's the only song on the album that's actually overproduced). I just had to adjust my expectations because for such an anticipated comeback it didn't quite live up to their reputation in my mind.

I can hear goddesses

I wish they'll do repack ala Run Devil Run and make this as the TT :jonny2:

The sophisticated sinister atmosphere of the song fits the trailer best. We deserves a pure dark Red Velvet

Taste indeed. It's their song with the most replay value to me. What a debut.

Is this true? I thought everyone loved BM? I mean even the bridge alone >>>

I feel like a lot of people never gave it enough credit because it didn't immediately smash but yes the bridge, the way the BASS pulses, the high notes and wailing in the background, that drop is everything

I'm looking at tickets for IVE in Fort Worth, TX and am I crazy but is $367 actually not too bad for the seats right in front of the stage? There's lots of kpop fans and asians in TX so I think they'll do well here. Gonna purchase :clap3:
