The fact we got 30 minutes of non stop singing with Wendy hitting every high note there is and a video of Wendy covering multiple classics and getting the recognition she deserves as a vocalist. We’re no longer in the trenches

Also I always forget how integral Seulgi is to those Velvet songs. She was centre stage for several of them and she sounded incredible, especially when she kicks off the song. My ******* faves

Jungkook is so HOT! I love appreciating his current beauty because I know he's gonna look like an Arashi member in 2 years

What about Mingyu? Is he popular? Cause I'm surprised how he isn't an it-boy when he's a full package, and he might be the hottest male idol I have ever laid my eyes on

b862deb3dbc597dcd047e9abc40de46bc850ad60

He’s definitely the most popular member in the group and is doing well for himself in terms of solo brand deals and social media followers and stuff, and one of the few members whose talent is appreciated on the level that it is (because he’s not the most talented in any area but still talented enough to carry on his own)

….but him not being a bigger IT boy basically comes down to Seventeen being known as one big unit more than individually. That’s the most logical explanation I have. They’re just like Twice in that sense, multiple IT boy/girl potentials in the group, but never really reached that potential because they moved as a group for the longest time instead. It was even more evident on Svt’s case because they are a whopping 13 members.

It's not everyday he have an actual  SINGER in his backyard :clap3:

I need Singsing as one of his guests sometime in the future. Girlie brings in the talent and the views :matty:

4 SM Girl Group Songs that actually would have found an audience in the West if it was English and had radio & Tiktok promo. More specifically European and United States music markets that thrive off of Contemporary R&B pop and EDM electro pop structures

Red Velvet-Psycho

Aespa-Thirsty

F(X)- Rude Love

SNSD

SM is hilariously bad at choosing singles for the west, and then somehow even worse at doing any sort of promo when one does pick up naturally in the west.

RV is really such a force and has had amazing longevity. Not many 3rd gen groups can hit #15 on Melon daily these days. The way that their Killing Voice alone has so much hype and is just pumping out hit tweets and gaining so many views in less than a day. Their comebacks aren't just an event for fans but even nonfans join in the hype. The way they've taken over this entire thread is a little amazing tbh

And this is with their longer breaks, lack of promo, and general SMisogyny. Most groups can't achieve what they do or even garner a fraction of the hype with 3x the care from their companies. They get discredited a lot because their peak wasn't as explosive as some other top groups and I still remember how nasty so many people were towards them back in the day, yet they've come out as one of the longest lasting groups in kpop and haven't lost any members so far. They're also not a legacy act no matter how much SM tries to treat them like one while (unfortunately) a lot of groups at this age become a "fan thing" and lose relevancy with nonfans and GP. Everybody's still tuning in for every new comeback of theirs and another hit is always on the table

It kind of goes to show how truly important talent is. So many of their songs would not be half as good without their vocals. The girls carry a ton of their songs while a lot of groups are carried by their songs. Quality and talent will never be a fad and will always be appreciated I guess and I really feel like they'll be getting a lot of support for as long as they choose to be active. Like their vocals only get better and it feels like people kinda just love them more and more as time goes on because it was a little too easy for people to look down on them back when a lot of 3rd gen groups were at their peaks, where many of us weren't seeing the bigger picture of longevity and musical value. Yet here they are

It's just been really nice to see how almost everyone can come together and appreciate their greatness, even this far in their careers while most groups become nonevents at this age
