Whats up with this Grammy debate? They don’t care about kpop because kpop as a “genre” is not taken seriously by your average joe in the western public, let alone the industry insiders and critics (even though kpop is not even a genre in itself). 
BTS got lucky because their fanbase became so loud and unavoidable online that the grammys had to acknowledge that by giving them some pity noms. That’s it. 
So these kpop fans thinking “oh wow now that BTS is gone my faves will get their shine!!” …… just give it up deelishis. I swear I saw in this very thread the other day somebody was saying maybe their random fave will get a best artist nomination, the delulu
