Cute but wouldn’t Red velvet be the third one for 3rd gen? I know gfriend had a huge peak but it was a bit shortlived? idk I didn’t follow either of them that closely so don’t at me. Just an observation from far away

I put IVE as Gfriend because they are from a non big4 company. I didn't put Red Velvet because I can't think of a gen 4 group that's filling their shoes rn

Yes, Red Velvet are significantly bigger than GFriend ever were.

GFriend’s career - 983,913

Birthday by Red Velvet - 995,090

GEN 4          GEN 3            GEN 2

IVE              GFRIEND       SISTAR

AESPA        BLACKPINK    2NE1

New Jeans   TWICE          SNSD

Based on positions hold in the market, not music

SISTAR were never that big. KARA is the second biggest 2nd gen group.

The way SM acts almost got sabotaged. The CEO had to apologize and back off because nobody wanted the horrible mixing ruining what SM has.

Yeah I love Gfriend as well and would say they were bigger in 2015 and 2016 but their last legit hit was Time For the Moon Night in 2018(and they fell off real bad on charts after that)

RV surpassed them in 2017. Just look at Rookie, Red Flavor, Peek-A-Boo v.s. Fingertip, Love Whisper, Summer Rain :rip:

The fact that half of their content was filmed on YG’s bathroom cams. I would wait to come out as a stan, too.

Kara would be Lesserafim, both with pretty big numbers in Japan

I don't know why but I think of Nine Muses... multi-membered underrated girl group that are the gays' favorite

Wait this kinda make sense:deadbanana4:.

Edit: And both have an iconic B-side in a full album that overshadows the title track after a member left from the original lineup. Unforgiven & Eve, Psyche, and the Bluebeard's Wife v.s. Wanna & Mr.:cm:

Even Sakura can’t compare with Legend Hara.

Do you think he’ll be bunkmates with Seungri and G-Dragon? They can have dance-offs with SuJu in the yard.
