I remember I was TRAUMATIZED as a toddler when Fin.K.L released this song and video
 

 

It starts with 4 young girls having fun and cuts forward into the future with them all living depressing ass lives (a struggling boxer, a flower shop owner with terminal illness, a pr*stitute masseur, and a failed comic artist who commits su*cide at the end by exploding her apartment ) and they have the nerve to cut back to the shot of them as kids again blissfuly unaware of their bleak future. There was another Fin.K.L video where another member dies after getting sh*t in the head 
 

I cannot imagine K-pop groups doing this kind of music video now

This one was and still is insane The ending still shocks me. Warning for dissected body parts, slightly censored surgery, and general abuse

LOEN was on a mission this era. Brown Eyed Girls' Cleansing Cream was shocking enough but yeah this one takes the cake

The way I almost posted Cleansing Cream too but decided Pray was already too much on its own

 

It would be kind of iconic for a new gen group to drop something like this though with how safe companies are playing it these days

That’s a different case though. I’m talking about a center/ winner from a survival show which already has way better odds at success from a fanbase and HYBE machine than whatever mess blackswan is. Cute but wouldn’t Red velvet be the third one for 3rd gen? I know gfriend had a huge peak but it was a bit shortlived? idk I didn’t follow either of them that closely so don’t at me. Just an observation from far away
