Because it’s the only chart in the world that weeds out mass streaming. It’s why I love Circle - other charts are super easy to manipulate. Twitter has tons of guides that show stans how to get up to 20,000 streams a day unfiltered on Spotify using just one device. Circle doesn’t allow that fraudulence whereas Spotify encourages it (they even leave fake streams in their overall play numbers which are shown on artist profiles). Then at the end of the year, we see people bragging about how they’re top listeners and have contributed impossible listen counts for artists.

 

The reason I brought that up in this thread was because one member claimed SKZ has a better discography than Red Velvet because they have higher streams. But using Circle, we can see that the majority of their streams are from fanbase streaming. It’s already a false equivalence argument, but then to use numbers showing that the same people are streaming nonstop is just daft.

 

I gave SKZ a chance when you suggested them and, while I liked Case 143, the rest of their discography was below average - which is par for a boy group. I don’t see how anyone that isn’t sexually attracted to SKZ could argue that SKZ have a better discography when RV have In My Dreams, Psycho, Red Flavor, Marionette, Swimming Pool, Ice Cream Cake and Dumb Dumb. They’re both coming back in a week and the difference in quality from the teasers is already drastic.

Yes, currently thanks to Irene scandal. That doesn't change the fact that Irene along with Jeknee were the It Girls of the 3th generation and that she was more popular than any Twix member. She also had bigger and more endorsements during her Prime.
