the musical direction is completely appropriate considering the average age of the group's members

Oh no, I completely agree. They should have not debuted the youngest member it’s just too weird. What I meant though is that it’s too K-pop for western audiences, too TWICEd. The opening is catchy though. The issue is the chorus.

I'll stand by the fact that if TWICE was a 4th gen group they wouldn't have the fame of not being able to sing like they to nowdays (mostly because they would've gotten away with lipsyncing 90% of the time... which would've avoided some moments)
