I didn't know the radio show was that big or that radio was still relevant in SK. Maybe this'll get her a hit again. I honestly care more about getting a good album atp than if she gets a hit or not.

Lisa is rumored to terminate her contract with YG Entertainment and Blackpink.

 

According to foreign news agency, Lisa will not renew her contract with YG. She will likely sign with an American label that offered her a contract greater than 50 billion won YG was offering. The agency also promised her entertainment businesses such as music, video, fashion, and performances in addition to six albums. The contract clause stated that "Lisa will not only be able to own her own music albums to be released in the future, but also have the right to establish her own studio and sign artist contracts."

 

Meanwhile, with growing rumors that Lisa has not renewed her contract and turned down YG's latest 50 billion won offer, YG told media, "We are currently discussing renewing Lisa's contract. The rumor has not been officially confirmed."

 

Expectations are growing as to whether Blackpink will be able to continue promoting as a 4-member group beyond the '7 year curse.'

YG Entertainment has still not given a definitive answer whether Blackpink will renew contracts.

 

According to insider reports, Rosé is the only member that has renewed her contract. Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa are moving to other agencies and are currently discussing whether to continue activities with Blackpink in a "separate but together" strategy for about 1 year and 6 months. 

 

Among the members, Jisoo is planning to become an actress and Lisa, who's popular overseas, have signed contracts with other agencies after receiving tens of billions of won in down payments. 

 

In response to this report, an official from YG declined to comment and just briefly stated, "we're still discussing it, nothing has been confirmed."

 

Meanwhile, Blackpink contracts expired on their 7th debut anniversary on August 8th.

no American label is spending that much money for a lady with 2 songs to her name. Maybe if she had a proven track record they could bank on but who even knows if anyone would still care about the stinks after the disbandment

I honestly think that is the best way forward for them do their own stuff and maybe come together as BP once in a while. No surprise Jisoo got offered tens of billions also, they most likely all got those offers im shocked Rose would resign though.

I mean it's quite realistic just her Instagram could make her money.  Her albums could sell 1 to 2 million each with a western push who knows what can happen? It also seems to be a 50m, 6 year contract which is not that much tbh

Rose re-signing with YG is just gonna be a repeat of what happened to CL but without the talent and excellence

That A2K group has 3 very capable vocalists, but I feel like JYP will train them into such horrible singers due to his obsession of wanting them to always sing above their ranges n only care about high notes rather their developing their vocal technique, growth, longevity and maturity! 
 

Twice still can’t sing live this well after being a group for almost a decade  + training for DECADES prior to SIXTEEN for some members too. They can’t even sing this well during ENCORE when they don’t have to dance so this group of children have already out talent TWICE
