YG is gonna play the "quality over quantity" bs game with baemon too it seems :toofunny3:

goodluck to the babysitters

its not a game this time if hip-hop preschool fails without GD or Black Pink the company is doomed. AKMU's domestic-only, digital-only success can't keep the lights on. They're SCRAMBLING behind the scenes right now. :sistrens:

Dear Ahyeon,

I hope this letter finds you, though I imagine the days must be heavy with change and uncertainty for you right now. I want to convey the profound sadness and sense of loss that I, along with many other fans, am experiencing since learning of your departure from BABYMONSTER.

Your time with BABYMONSTER has been marked by incredible talent, energy, and a magnetic presence that made each performance unforgettable. Your unique voice, charisma, and the passion you poured into every song and stage made you a standout member of the group. Your contributions to BABYMONSTER have brought immense joy and inspiration to fans like me, and your absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt.

It's never easy to say goodbye to someone whose artistry has left a deep impact on us. Your decision to leave the group has left a void that will be difficult to fill. While I respect your choice and understand that it must have been made after careful consideration, the sadness remains, as it feels like a chapter in our collective journey has come to a close.

I want you to know that my sadness is not meant to convey disappointment in your decision, but rather a reflection of the genuine affection and admiration I hold for you as an artist. It's difficult to imagine BABYMONSTER without you, and the thought of not experiencing your performances alongside the other members is indeed heart-wrenching.

As you move forward on your individual path, I hope that life brings you the fulfillment, happiness, and artistic growth you seek. I have no doubt that your talent will continue to shine, whether in music or other creative pursuits. Your fans, myself included, will always be here to support you, cheering you on from the sidelines and celebrating your successes.

While this moment is undoubtedly a sad one, I want to thank you for the beautiful memories you've given us as a member of BABYMONSTER. Your music will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration in our lives, and your legacy within the group will always be cherished.

Please take good care of yourself as you navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. You are not alone on this journey, and your fans will be here to offer love and encouragement every step of the way.

The main slayer possibly getting kicked out before the group even debuts is crazy, they should have just apologized and it could have gone over much better for them :clownny: the way they just become a ghetto ILY:1 without her; she really ties that group together :monkey:

YG would have absolutely shoved that issue under the rug if it wasn’t getting to her, otherwise I could see anxiety from the drama being a big reason for her magically being N/A

The fact YG is allegedly making two HUGE errors of management in the same week, the incompetence  :deadbanana4:

Their stock price has nosedived :rip:

Honestly, if we assume that Ahyeon actually left the group and it was because the n-word controversy made her anxious, then maybe the idol career has never been for her in the first place.

The k-pop industry is always full of controversy and scandals, such industry is not for the weak...

I mean getting dragged for saying the n word isn’t exactly small potatoes

I said even though they’re MORE successful Bebe is still more known. Being known doesn’t necessarily mean people are going to be willing to shell out money to see you. Aren’t blackpink and bts doing better in touring than anyone who isn’t Beyonce or Taylor? Just because these kpop act are selling tickets doesn’t mean they aren’t niche, especially when it’s the same people going to multiple groups concerts.

I guess you used a wrong example cause Bebe Rexha is not even famous like that. She has a few hits but do people know her name or face? Not really. She's not even an influencer type of celebrity like Rita Ora. And she doesn't even have 1/7 followers of BP's least followed member on Instagram.

Conspiracy theory:

GD and the 3 Black Pink members have officially concluded talks with YG and have officially left and their future plans are set in stone. Both the artists and YG are collaborating to let the news out quietly and slowly to not cause a massive stock crash that could endanger the financial stabilitity of hundreds of YG employees(and the entire Korean entertainment industry at their scale lbr). The upper management is not only moronic but also evil, but there are good people in any company and I think anybody would try to minimize damage on their way out.

All they have left is an undebuted group with minimal hype despite extensive promotions, the least popular big 4 4th gen group, and a domestically relevant act that looks good on paper but isn't helping with cashflow because all of their success is digital(even in Korea where they get constant hits AKMU concerts are in tiny theaters and Chanhyuk's book sold more than his album). YG is in a very tricky position and everybody involved carries hundreds of millions of dollars of future earnings out the door with them when they leave.

is ILL-ITerate going to debut soon? :rogue:

Watched A2K's last performances, and I have some last statements before the final @New Edition:

- JYP has no understanding of what the American GP wants in a girl group (This red flag was already apparent to me when it was first announced and the age range was 12 - 16, child stars haven't been popular in the West anymore since 2012 (The Miley, Britney, Justin era is long gone) and the Disney/Nickelodeon child 'stars' that have blown up recently (Jenna, Zendaya) have been both over 18 when they hit the jackpot.

- The songs the girls were given are extremely juvenile, which is expected due to their ages; I can't image the 16-17-year-olds being happy about that. The songs are giving English versions of ITZY songs which are fine for ITZY but translate very poorly in a Western context. The group will be limited in concepts they can explore if Gina/Kaylee (who are both 13) debut. This way I'm laughing at their fans dragging the music aspect but begging JYP to debut the two :doc: The lyrics are very poor too and the production is truly giving Disney Channel post-2010.

- Kendall is completely not ready to debut and JYP is setting her up for a mega hate train when she debuts. She is just not up to peer with the other girls and it is very glaring that Christina got the most flack by JYP for her performance when she easily outsang Kendall when Kendall kept having consistent vocal cracks and was extremely nasally. She is going to debut with brings me to another point.

- JYP is looking at the project though a K-Pop leans way too much. From the girls only performing Korean songs in Korean Bootcamp (totally makes sense for a group you want to debut in America :deadbanana2:) to my personal belief of JYP favouring Kendall and Kaylee due to their cute visuals, it seems like he completely disregards the less 'KBS' girls (Christina and Lexus). He seems to have completely copied and pasted the Nizi Project while making little editorial changes which includes the whole editing of the show. Another mistake. Also, the fact they can't get the Biracials skin colours right even in LA is. JYP definitely thinks K-pop is super hot in America even though it makes 4% of music listening globally which is why he didn't even bother trying to suit it more towards American tastes :rip::rip:

- Also another preteen girl group exists - XOMGPOP and they are falling apart by the minute and have barely made an impact with their tween demographic and keep losing members it seems, even though Jojo Siwa is behind them.

I wish the girls who make it the best of luck but I heavily doubt the group will be as successful as JYP hopes and I can see them completely flopping after the first single (which I doubt will make much noise anyway) and disbanding after 2 years at best. DA while having many problems will do better due to the girls being older and HYBE knowing how to do modern concepts and rigging!
