Better Things was great and the MV is really well filmed and fit perfectly with the song. 

 

Idk if it's exactly the right song for pushing expansion in western markets, but was cute and summery and they sounded great vocally and looked stunning visually. They delivered

Anyway Jihyo’s album was better than expected. Killin me good is not so bad just faceless. However Wishing on you a major bop. The album is a 7,5/10.
 

EG…Not so much different from their other titles the member who said it was la di da 2.0 just messed up and wanted to say Adios. 
mia lost all her star power with that horrible haircut. Sihyeon and Mia carried as usual. Sihyeon would’ve been an it girl if she was in a bigger group

Something I would ponder is if in an alternate universe would Somi have fared better in ITZY than going solo. I would always pity her because her career has stagnated while ITZY was enjoying success but now in retrospect, ITZY peaked at Wannabe and are on a downward trajectory. Like yes, Dalla Dalla and Wannabe clear Somi's entire existence but I feel you're only as relevant as your last hit and those hits can only give you so much goodwill. So I guess Somi would have had the same fate either way.

Sneakers did alright and cake is moving forward/trending so it’s not like the public has forgotten them completely  also there is more than charts, ITZY tour and have had pretty okay CF’s so I’m sure they aren’t low on the coin. Somi has mostly been dungeoned with music so it’s kinda hard to compare lol.

Do we know a lot about aespa’s upcoming english EP, other than Better Things most likely being part of it? I can see SM tacking Hold On Tight onto as well, along with hopefully the solos.

Better Things would work if it’s a 2.5mins song or something, while the rhythm is good, it just gets really repetitive toward the end.

Despite being based on a very basic UK-radio-ish demo I think that Better Things is actually too K-poppy to be a western hit, even if they payola'd it to high heavens.

 

Or to put it another way, that fact that all the SM sheep are liking it is a sign that the song is not what they intend it to be 

 

I wish SM would just accept they arent capable of expanding outside of Asia
