Illusion is not a single. The press releases at the time described it as "수록곡" which in Korean means "B-side song". 

 

It has no music video and was never promoted as a single. It was simply released in advance to mark the announcement of Girls. Some of the other songs on your list have full MVs and multiple performances and special videos, which is far more promotion than Illusion. You shouldn't have excluded it.

ador also described ditto as a bside yet we know it's a single. it's still a promotional single coz it was pre released before the album and it actually had a lyric video (yes not the same as mv but still a video), illusion also got performed multiple times on music shows.

Ditto was briefed as a special pre-release single to media outlets before the name was even revealed (source and another). It was always a single. 

 

It's not in the same category as Illusion which is a B-side and has no MV and was never described as a single even on release (source). Life's Too Short is the pre-release single for Girls.

The bsides/singles talk is so confusing nowadays 

I'm just glad that companies are seeing the light and starting to promote more than one song at a time. There is so much gold among the thousands of old b-sides that would have become smashes had they been promoted

" that's what a single means which means Illusion is a promotional single since it meets the criteria. and lsf's eve has now became a single once they started dropping the english version and remixes like how most western singles do

The tweet source mentions single nowhere. It is not a single.

 

After providing you with multiple direct sources and information, I'm not sure how much clearer I can make it. 

 

You can even go to an internet archive and look up the Illusion lyric video on YouTube and even the description box on June 1st 2022 described it as a "pre-release track". Not a single, not a promotional single, not a pre-release single. It's not a single, it's a B-side.

EXO’s hear me out and let me in are also both b sides that were released before the album

 

also remixes don’t mean much, i mean NJ also released one for Hurt after the album release (with a special video too) does that mean it also became a single?

(yes it was released exclusively on YT if i’m not mistaken but you get the point)

a pre released track cannot be bside  that's literally what a single means? I just gave you the very definition of what a music single means— a song that is used to promote the album/artist and is released as a stand alone. anyways can we move on with this topic, im sure we will not agree to what a bside really means so lets just keep pushing.
