RIAA and HDD have different formula for how album units work. HDD follows the same Billboard 200 and Luminate's data, that's why the numbers are similar. 

 

We don't know If 5-STAR has surpassed 500k through RIAA formula as the label needs to manually apply to get the certification.

Honestly the V solo debut kinda came out of the blue and had no hype since Jungkook just released and Seven is still slaying so the focus is still on that. The title track will probably do better but still the album rollout is not doing any favors.
