This is actually interesting to hear because she doesn't have the strongest sense of support, in general, but it's much more grounded here than in performances where she's standing still. Moving while singing tends to force people to engage their breathing which is kind of why I wish more idols would make the effort to sing live. It actually helps them sound better/improve.

But what if they're already using wrong technique? Would they still improve or just be more stable, but with bad technique?

I mean there are no hard and fast rules or anything, but in my experience if they have even a little bit of breath support then trying to dance while singing usually kicks it into higher gear. It can help singers who don't have the strongest grasp of breath support yet learn consistency, which is how I would describe a lot of idols.

Just watched Itzy's jamboree set and Lia fits in visually with Itzy and she obviously gels with the members, but whenever they perform without her it's like night and day. She truly drags down the performances so much.

Aespa needs to fire their stylist. The group has not once looked good cohesively and most of the time it looks like the stylists found scraps, sewed them together and called it a dress. I can see why a lot of people might like their outfits but it’s too kitsch for me. I cringe thinking about what they would have had Giselle wearing.

How are we feeling about fourth Gen GG’s? Just some general musing below. 

 

I’ve been jamming to Adspa’s bsides a lot lately.. maybe they made several points. And ningning really does have an amazing voice. 
 

I like IVE’s songs tbh but I find something quite uninteresting about them? I guess their concept is fashion teen or something which doesn’t really excite me. And I don’t really like any of the members. 
 

idk why NMIXX gives me klassic kpop the most out of a lot of girl groups these days even if it’s a hot mess. And it’s somewhat entertaining to follow what is going on with them lol. I also like some of the members. I honestly think their summer release was pretty good they just need some better visual and art direction. Jyp is stinging out of them. 

 

STAYC had such a strong run of title tracks but teddy bear and soon to be bubble have made me loose a lottttt of interest in them. They did a reverse twice I fear (in terms of concept).

 

New jeans releases really are amazing and the members are gorgeous. I do wonder if them falling into the kpop Stan world will lessen their appeal a bit? I feel before they were kinda left of kpop in branding and appeal but the kpop label and Stan’s might dim their shine a bit in the west idk.. (if you get what I mean like how most of the Twitter world thinks kpop Stan’s are bananas lol).

I rather have them wearing in scraps sewed together but still making it look  good than whatever power rangers they had to go through during their first years like the Beyoncé hair blow, the body hugging silhouettes etc. it works well on them

honestly the aespa looks weren't that bad. they shoulda used less flowers tho ur right @ANTIclimatic. i think i woulda enjoyed the outfits more w/o them or with only one or two on each. at least it seems like they killed the performance and drew a massive crowd.
