Also she has more variety skills alone than some entire groups. Labeled as the nations energizer bunny, helping SNSD cement themselves as the most watch variety show girl group on broadcast for years. SNSD has no filler members, these are just well known facts🤭

It’s like they just hear SM is family and then run with it, ignoring the fact she was a major contributor to Soshi’s image on television

I mean no offense to you but Super is nowhere as popular to these songs (both in SK and worldwide) 

 

even if the vma is not relevant anymore it’s annoying to see random bg songs  nominated when Kpop is dominated by GG songs

Sunny was the reason I got into SNSD sis has been insecure throughout her career because of her uncle and the nasty antis. There's a reason why she has never had a solo

theyre just nominating the boy groups because they know itll bring more viewership and engagement than the ggs even though they were objectively more popular. its definitely a wasted opportunity for girl groups that have basically zero visibility in western award shows though, besides BP

you know +200M revenue don't fully go to the pinks or even YG right? i don't know wich percentage goes to the artist but i remember some excel in here so maybe like 10% maybe 20% that can be the most attractive for the to negotiate in their renewal so they can all renew with YG

Yeah I mean I get the excitement of kpop fans because they don’t usually get nominated in other big award shows that much, but I think VMAs have lost that general popularity or iconicness of until the early 10s. They should look for that validation elsewhere lol.

None taken, I was just pointing out that super wasn’t just “popular within the fanbase”, it actually performed a lot better than other bg songs this year in Korea and were competing with gg ULs.
But aren’t all those songs you mentioned before the cutoff date this year? Maybe omg/ditto are not but idk about the others. In any way, I don’t think it’s that serious. i do think ggs should get more visibility though since they are carrying most of kpop.
