i dont think aespa is hitting their full potential and their career is so incredibly mismanaged while their peers have eclipsed them  i dont like blind stanning so good for them that theyre killing bulk sales but what about the culture? they were so promising and interesting during next level -> savage 1-2 punch... savage was truly their quality peak

since then it's been serving mid honestly and idc how well spicy is doing, its lowkey forgettable and noisy

Like yes they do blaccent and CA but I noticed that for some reason the n-word is the breaking point for a lot of people in k-pop fanbases, no matter how many "you gon finna catch me" moments their favs'd had before

All this outrage and their peers are eclipsing them narrative are so tired at this point lmao. What do you want them to do? Aespa are not for every kpop fans and that's okay. Their absolutely doing fine with or without this culture you speak of

I remember staying up and having to google translate Japanese Sone twitter for the concert links to this  if only Tiktok was around back then.

Now Now XG are an extreme case but let's not act like English lyrics of most jpop/kpop artists are not a tryhard mess ...

Idol Kim #3 born and brought up in Korea, knowing only A1 english, definitely doesn't understand half the slangs their American lyricists make them sing. It is an industry wide problem which I don't understand how it can be eradicated because there is clearly a market for songs with lyrics like these.

 

 

OT : I listen to NCT 127 Regular english version more than the korean version.

My soshi story is I discovered them during my freshmen highschool years when watching youtube was a major struggle. I got hooked instantly since I'm already a huge GG/pop stan ( PCD were my s/// ) The Oh + Run Devil Run Era was a collapse. the amount of times I watched Oh! I was obsessed

The fact that Aespa have three physicals and are still #2 for physical sales yet we keep hearing that they’re getting eclipsed. Only IVE has outsold them and they have three singles, one album, one Japanese single and one Japanese mini. It doesn’t make any sense.

Like I'm literally baffled how are this users pulling their own criterias to say Aespa is being eclipsed by their peers when there is like only one group who are way ahead than everyone else right now but it's pretty much everyone's game at the end of the day.
