Sweetie, just compare how Jisoo's solo was managed compared to Jimin and Jungkook's this year 

 

What people are trying to say is that BP could've easily been way bigger than what they already are, and could've easily competed directly with BTS. The demand is there but YGLY does not know how to take advantage of that demand, just like how they did nothing with Lisa's Money even though it was shaping up to be the biggest Kpop song ever since Gangnam Style 

The fact that BP still doesn't have an English single, even though they as a group are very Westernized with 3 members speaking English fluently??? Like they still don't have a top 10 hit on Hot 100 while BTS have 10 with 6 of them going #1.

Btw, BTS didn't smash in the West with their Korean songs, but with their English ones. BTS who are not nearly as Westernized as BP have been able release English music and smashed, so I don't understand why YGLY can't do the same for BP, when they clearly have the same demand. 

Just look at Jungkook, and how he's thriving right now, since he's about to have the biggest solo era in Kpop history, while the BP solo projects still consists of barely promoted SINGLE ALBUMS  Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé all deserve better than single albums, and should've all had albums with at least 7 songs each. 

 

YG IS THE WORST COMPANY AND BP DESERVES BETTER

It's mostly about timing. Most groups are pushed prematurely, imo. BTS did not really promote in the US until they charted on BB. They went with English singles when they couldn't tour during the pandemic. It's honestly crazy how everything went so smoothly Jungkook's solo showed, with the right song and promotions (I'm still mad about YTC ), they are nowhere near done. If they truly come back at the end of 2025, honestly, what a well-executed plan.

My numbers are Circle numbers. Circle reports all physical shipments globally (no K-pop group is using other distributors solely for projects anymore).  The actual sales are going to be lower, but we have no good way to measure them. But since these Circle numbers don’t include any digital sales, most people just stand by them in the hopes that digital downloads make up the difference in shipments and sales.

Yes, but they have potential to be history-making. There’s no reason, after their explosion in 2020, that they couldn’t surpass TWICE and get some time as the #1 girl group in overall units. They literally have two minis, two albums and a single for physicals and that’s IT

I'm a girly girl  No, we only argued one time when you said Giselle is more talented than RM/Suga (please, I can't do that again it's 4 a.m. for me). Besides that we usually fight against BG haters and 2nd gen warriors together

I don’t wanna be in this useless argument but just to add to this fact, in 5 out of those 7 years, they pumped out hit after hit that’s worth double the amount of time it usually happens in for most artists, if they don’t get overexposed that is. So yeah, Twice might not be scoring smashes anymore but their peak speaks for themselves and the fact that they’re still here and succeeding in other avenues of their career isn’t something to kii about me thinks.

They basically had a 14 year old career in that period alone, hence they why are who they are today

It did 39k in pure sales and debuted at #9. The way SM held the album back for one of the most competitive weeks of the year. They truly hate women

Stray Kids already being #3 as a 4th gen group among all these 3rd gen monster sellers  They also have  almost the double amount of sales as TXT who's the 2nd best selling 4th gen act

Plus we can give many reasons as to how their career has shaped itself over the years and even slightest modifications in their operating pattern by JYPE at certain points of time could have altered the course of their career from what we see today. There are a lot of factors like the release blitz strategy, the lack of solo push etc. but I don’t have time to get into that in detail rn. Whats important is that they managed to do what they did in these 7 years and continue to do that’s very very impressive.

aespa was rumored early on to be involved. Speaking of overlapping aesthetics though this post was so sus. Either zara or the barbie movie scrapped an aespa Collab for sure.
