Masterpiece is cute but it’s not definitely better than twice’s latest albums. However DNT is such a bop 

 

The way people talk about Jisoo.  She’s mile above Yoona and Suzy and despite being the weakest link she managed to score a top 10. Mind you she ain’t on Jennie’s level in Korea. While Yoona and Suzy are stuck to acting because we all know they don’t have a solid fanbase and enough appeal to launch a solo music career. Jisoo will be fine. BP’s brand is huge, as long she stays active, she can bounce between acting and music. And not every actors have a hit drama all the time. No everyone is Han so hee. So whatever

honestly i saw rose lose a lot of her cult favorite member status after her solo. her hype from coachella1 to hylt was insane.

Yeah OTG kinda did the opposite of elevating her statut I think! OST are huge in SK, even bigger than Kpop biggest hits! She have a chance to bounce back and regain some hype if she do a ballad for an OST

I recently watched some fancams from Coachella/Hyde Park and she's gotten so boring for some reason  I think her dancing and facial expressions were a lot better before, she has the same frowning face in all of their performances now  I'll look at the other members and they are all smiling and her face doesn't move, her movements are also so out of place and distracting during a lot of parts of the choreo 

 

She needs to step up and bring the energy from HYLT era if she wants to go solo, she was awesome back then 

She’s very tired bc of the tour and she was sick a lot of times. I think once she get a break and surround herself with people who can help her being more creative, she will naturally step up. 
And ofc she need to go back to brown hair!

When BP disbands she will lose a LOT of her hype because she has nothing to her name besides Snowdrop which was shrouded in controversy. There is no clear path for her because she's not some guaranteed successful actress like Suzy/YoonA who will always get roles despite any flops in between hits due to their name/history.

Talking about any bp member like they’ll be nugu after disbandment is WILD

 

FLOWER by itself outdid all your sm flops whole career

People saying LISA might have an MPG career if she leaves ... love her but what kind of music would she even put out ...? She is a dancer/performer first and foremost, and her solos were the most TEDDY produced stuff ever

 

Personally i would prefer her to go this route song wise but i have a feeling they would make her release something borderline culture appropriation/faux latina rap type of beat to get a global hit.

It's easier in a market driven by teenage girls mainly for boy groups to coast on visuals and parasocial relationships. Girl groups don't have this privilege so generally the most objectionable mainstream GGs will strive to at least serve a bop.

 

There are boy groups that put out great work, but there's also groups like NCT and SKZ.  Even the groups that do put out good music consistently can fall into the trap of strictly releasing music with lyrics that are clearly meant to be used for an idol relationship fantasy(my favs SHINee were really guilty of this at one point). You rarely ever see a GG do that type of song and whenever you do, GG fans lash the group for having uncle fans.
