Where is Red Velvet's comeback :biblio:

Birthday doesn't count so it has been over a year.

Luvies need to send a few more trucks

Oh we are talking Twicepinkvelvet tonight :bird:

oh what a moment this was.... :superman:

Blackpink was ready to explode globally with this... Lisa in the teaser drop was everything omggg....I still remember where i was when this dropped- and i wasnt alone. 62 million views!

For red velvet, of course the perfect red velvet was THE peak... but this song was also a MOMENT... The unhingedness was unmatched.

Also 2015 Red velvet were kinda SM's 3rd gen version of New Jeans

Specially Ice cream cake :bird:

Birthday was botched as hell. 3 out of 4 album versions out of stock for the whole pre-order period and additional versions only available a week after comeback...and the fact that it was yet another mini album, plus the terrible, short promotions that barely lasted 2 weeks.

SM won't care unfortunately. I just hope we manage to get another full album from them before their contract is up next year. :dancehall:

SM-YG-JYP representatives... all of them serving different kinds of music like ...ICONIC hits, being friends and smashing simultaneously. Im afraid 2016-18 was THE time to be a 3rd gen-er. These 3 + EXO + BtS forming the 3rd gen Top 5  :clap3:the onehallyu fanwars were crazy

Also... JYP hit gold with SKZ eventually becoming this huge... but I feel like we all forgot how GOT7 was also super popular among international fans around 2016-early 2017 when these songs came out... like they were more popular internationally than SVT/IKON/NCT... JYP fumbled their careers.

Since we like to discuss the stats of 4th gen groups, here's the leaders in every metric objectively: (I'm only including  the top 3 in each metric)

Billboard 200:

  1. Stray kids
  2. TXT
  3. ENHYPEN

Any objections? :bam:

Didn’t Ateez got a #2 album on BB200?

no matter what happens to Blackpink post 8/8 but what we really deserved was a f*cking visual album.

That would've crashed the internet. Imagine them posting 8 MV at the same time with their level of budget

Imagine a visual album directed by Petra collins ??!

Streets are saying that Jennie is working on a perfume and clothing line.

Lisa a make up line, that’s why she hasn’t signed with any make up brand since her contract with MAC ended.

I’m sure that both will make a comeback in the next 2 years

Yeah if I'm not mistaken they used to form the 3rd gen bg trinity along with BTS and EXO during the actual 3rd gen reign. Groups like NCT and SVT only managed to surpass them way later into the 4th gen, once they left JYP etc. and disbanded/went on hiatus

Hard Carry is their best song though

yeah well atleast internationally. Sadly they never found a solid k-fanbase. Wanna-one was more popular in korea in 2017 and their spot in the korean trinity was eventually `filled' by Seventeen when they disbanded. (Although I would say Seventeen's popularity rose to actual korean recognition only after 2020- during the pandemic era and switch to hybe also revived them.)
