Finally Welcome to My World was not some pots and pans experimental music like Girls thank goodness.

 

Well it's too soon to tell if this is a smash or flop considering the pre-release have almost zero hype and SM truly fumbled Aespa promo and marketing.

I don't know If you guys have seen, but Stays found out they've been promoting/teasing 5-Star for OVER A YEAR. 

 

I wonder If 5-Star was the album supposed to follow Oddinary and they had to switch to release Maxident, because they wouldn't be able to promote a full album within the touring schedules. But, in my opinion, It was always clear they didn't like Maxident that much. In the middle of the era they were already excited for the next album and talking about 2023. 

 

Yesterday Felix said on bubble "this time" the songs are addictive. They seem very excited for 5-S. 

 

Maybe the Universe said they had to release Case 143 first for Japan Domination

Y'all are panicking over nothing imo, I think Spicy numbers will be much better. So many people are unaware this song is out (even some of my friends) and it's also  b-side that doesn't have a hit sound - still not a boring ballad though it's a good track. Album numbers did really great so they're not complete flops like some people are saying here. 

 

But what if Welcome To My World doesn't get released on Apple Music until the album release?

Unforgiven already exceed 1.3M preorders so they're for sure to surpass Aespa at least for Girls, meanwhile My World preorders did over 1.5M so we need to wait and see.

tbh I think most of this is just coincidence

 

and maxident had several bops but yes it was definitely overshadowed by the oddinary era going on for like a year

It’s not even comparable. Other top gg’s are on Amazing Saturday, Knowing Bros, etc. Before album release which creates hype. SM has put Aespa no where and barely hyped anything. We’re a week away from title track and have no info on it, no MV teaser, nothing. Other groups at this point release 2-3 MV teasers/snippets plus album highlights etc.

 

SM is doing nothing with this group. Not even something as simply as individual instagrams so they’re more accessible to the GP
