You said they received the same amount of promo as bts US singles! Now do you really want us to compare???? Be serious

It really feels like LSFM already planned the title tracks for the rest of their whole career

Ice Cream didnt get several remixes bc blinks were lazy and uncoordinated and don't understand how to bulk buy singles. It didn't even peak in the top 10 and BP have yet to get a single to peak in that range despite Army's ability to do so with ease. Interscope took a Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande single COMPLETELY off of radio to promote Ice Cream instead, supported it with SEVERAL high profile media placements with interviews, playlisting, etc. The only difference between that compared to the BTS rollout is that BP didn't perform Ice Cream live ever since Selena was in a whole other continent.

Blackpink, Selena Gomez's Huge Ice Cream Rollout – Billboard

That single got two mega conglomerate labels backing it and failed to dent the top 10 in the US. It has as much push as Dynamite and the push stopped bc Interscope realized it was a dumb attempt clearly. Selena Gomez had just come off of a MASSIVE #1 single debut and the label propped her up to help BP. Its not shady or stupid to compare it to BTS rollout, its just a massively underperforming attempt at that same rollout

Please BFR!  You’re really comparing a Ice cream deal/trucks that lasted 1 week to a radio deal on the DAY 1, to a global partnership with SAMSUNG,  cassette editions of the song, as well as the digital single and its instrumental for US customers ;remixes, three interviews with the biggest American networks, a performance at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards during the release week, followed up with performances on the Today Show, America's Got Talent  and iHeartRadio Music Festival. Plus a NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts on and performing on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in the span of 1 month???

YES  it’s indeed stupid to compare it to Dynamite massive roll out

Yeah the tracklist is a mess. Why would they put the old songs and even the intros from the old minis :rip: sounds so messy.

also my two cents on Lesserafim comeback. Unforgiven is a bop on its own, but this is a song that should have come later in their career because right now it is too close and too similar to ANTIFRAGILE, with AF being the superior one in every sense. And it’s worth noting that what made AF so loved was the perfect combination of the reggaeton as well as the genius choreo…where Unforgiven doesn’t match up. They should have gone with something still upbeat obviously and performance-worthy but fresh sounding for them this comeback to show some variety. UF sounds like it’s trying to emulate AF both in sound and visuals. I wouldn’t have a problem with it generally but this is supposed to be their most anticipated comeback and their first full album, so it kinda left me wanting more ngl. Especially since their first two minis were fantastic but still somewhat different to each other.

anyway, I will still bop to Unforgiven, and the Bsides tho, don’t get me wrong. Just pouring my thoughts on what could have been done better.

and it’s kinda funny that IVE, from whom I had no high expectations, actually delivered a better album and have a perfect streak of title/pre release tracks so far with each one having their own distinct flavor.

Yeah i dont get it. At least put both EP's in full on there, but picking certain tracks (and two intros??) into it just feels incomplete and a strange choice.

I got through all the old songs and got bored and moved on, I will listen to the new ones at some point this week. I feel like three different groups have released "Antifragile" now tho so your review of Unforgiven is worrying. :rip:

IVE delivered an album that I think will eventually be up there with the greats of full kpop albums. It is just SO good.

Did you even read the article? :ahh:

They said that BlackPink sold merchandise to fans (that’s not promo - that’s a different product for sale) and Selena partnered with Serendipity to sell ice cream and try to push her Netflix show. There was no massive push - they tried to use the single to sell other things to their fans.

Also, where did you get the myth that “Rain On Me” was pulled from radio early? It just (unfortunately) performed poorly and that’s probably because it was a follow-up to a song that had terrible scores for both artists.
