I like Suga's title track and the album isn't that bad. But yea he has always given off this cold and pretentious attitude that I can't take seriously when he produces the same old kpop sounding music that gets popular ie. The IU and Psy songs.

What cultural impact when NJ debuted not even a year ago :hoetenks: Some of y’all be saying anything

neither of them have impact

the entire hype boy meme / trend? every single girls having the newjeans style? newjeans getting massive collaborations left and right with brands like coca cola and mcdonalds resulting in newjeans being played 24 7 in every mcdonalds across the country and having their faces on every stores too? not counting the other cfs they have

their iconic bunny becoming a symbol? :jonny:

they're having their next level dance moment but x800 with literally everything they're doing and like you said they didn't even debut a year ago

newjeans is the new face of the mz gen :clap3:

ive's recent comeback is successful because they released the most generic and catchy songs ever and i am is good but in terms of cultural impact newjeans is miiiiiles ahead :jonny:

the other day i saw a random store use their bunny logo skskdkfds it was so cute but also super random

and im not mentioning the tons of cf they have :rip:

Doesn't Hybe also have a lot to do with that? I doubt a group from a small company with similar success would have all these.

idk if its a thing but they're too overexposed now :deadbanana2:

idk I dont watch korean survival shows so idk if they're overexposed or this is a good thing and they'll have tons of stans

yeah I’m tired of it to be honest, they should’ve finished at solo evaluations

I AM is massive :deadbanana2: is IVE bigger than NJ?

NJ is #1 at YouTube Korea in the past year, which is the biggest platform there and they didn’t even have full tracking period so I wouldn’t be so sure about it :cm: we will see with their summer comeback

and globally they are already ahead

does youtube music automatically removes songs from its charts after a while?? because i refuse to believe that love dive is OUT

I don’t think so, I can see only top20 here, but when the time period is set to 3 months Love Dive is #13 and #1 for the past year

If we use this logic Hitman Bang could have saved this for his group Le Sserafim

Yeah, still Hybe would have a part in it. Think if a group from Woolim would have all these if their songs were similarly popular.

Le Sserafim isn't as big in Korea for Hybe to push them this much.

the thing is a group from Woolim doesn’t have even one song as big as NewJeans

Brave Girls were everywhere in Korea when Rollin was on top and that was one smash song, NewJeans already have multiple

They were everywhere but I doubt they had such big endorsements.

Companies or rather Hybe will find a way to promote idols in any way they can. Big companies pushing for these big endorsements is nothing new.

like other said before me, they got those deal after they had multiple smashes domestically and globally and had a permanent residency in the top 3 since last summer

It still takes me by surprise how IVE truly became MASSIVE in Korea :WAP:

i mean yeah they had Wonyoung but one (or two if we count Yujin) popular member doesn’t guarantee a whole group’s success like that (see Eunwoo and Astro). :chick1:

Yes, others wouldn't have got all these I agree but Hybe, the biggest Kpop company right now definitely had a part to play in it like every other big company.
