Yg is known for treating their female idols poorly. There's always been a disparity in what they can do vs the male idols. Big part of blackpink's success and longevity is the members own charisma. 

 

And we also don't know if the members want more solo releases. Do they have the time, interest, motivation?? 

 

 

But some yg stans will tell you it's cause yg only releases the highest quality material hence the wait time

Unfortunately when everyone in a 7 membered group actually WANTS to release music that they personally contributed to in a timely fashion before they are forced to enlist in the army, some overlapping of promo is inevitable. The members don't mind so we don't have to either 

 

Some other groups with no artistry or passion for music can afford to wait several months to years between releases from their members since they have to wait for Teddy to find and regurgitate demos from a decade ago
