Real Catholics accepted his resignation. You are just being delusional.

Sheep accepted his usurpation. Real Catholics saw right through it--they forced the removal of the only legitimate guide of Catholicism and put an impostor who was more marketable and slave to the great powers and the media in his place.

Bergoglio's country... of course you'd focus on your blind negativity instead of admitting that, for once, something right was said even by a politician you otherwise don't like :rip:

And that doesn't make her words about Pope Benedict any less valid.

The media went on a crusade against Pope Benedict on the day he was elected in 2005, and he's still being slandered after his passing with gross accusations such as being associated with the Nazis (not true: there was a law in Nazi Germany where all boys aged 14 had to become part of Hitler's youth, but his family was against it due to their firm Catholic faith and he diserted their meetings), and encouraging pedophilia (also not true: he was the first pope to publicly admit the issue and he started doing something about it). He's an example of resilience and determination for all of us, religious or not. May he keep guiding us from Heaven.

Si contingat ut Romanus Pontifex renuntiet, ad eiusdem renuntiationis validitatem non est necessaria Cardinalium aliorumve acceptatio.

Resilience and determination? He was the first pope to resign in 600 years

That's a lot of words to say you wholeheartedly support a Nazi who did his damnedest to conceal the church's massive pederasty problem.

Guess all the Nazis’ crimes should have just been blanket forgiven then? After all, they were “just following orders.”

I don’t care, he’s still a Nazi, and he probably would have enthusiastically marched Holocaust victims to their doom like all the other Germans that were ten years older if he had been, too. Because again, you follow orders or you die. And “just following orders” wasn’t a defense in the court room.

Stop defending your Nazi Pope.

Girl the pope was 16 when it was compulsory, which he deserted  :gaycat6: give it a rest. If you’re going to drag him don’t do it for something he had no control over as a teenager.

What is the idea behind a pope? How would one random man get all that reverence and power?

Same reason why UK (and many other countries) has a King and a whole royal family

This shouldn’t happen. The papacy is not biblical. You will not find succession of “popes” anywhere in the scriptures.
