Have you ever been to East Germany? Have you ever been to S*xony? These are the German equivalent of poor ignorant red states.

While I haven't personally been to California I have travelled through Germany extensively as my parents have been living there for the past 10 years and trust me, NOWHERE in Germany you'll find something even remotely close to the deplorable state Los Angeles is in :rip:

OT: Not sure what you mean by 'bigger' but would rather live in Germany no doubt. California is barely at the bottom of my travel list, would not consider living there in this lifetime.

Ok...so you've just seen some propaganda videos and decided that California is akin to a third-world country. Lo.

What even is a propaganda video? This is literally just footage of the actual city and what is happening there. You could watch it on mute and it would have the same effect. Now go try to find a place in Germany that looks anywhere as bad to film :rip:

Carefully selected and manipulated footage. I can film tons of such footage in Berlin if I want to portray it as the biggest hellhole on earth. There's actually a DW documentary about rampant homelessness in Berlin.

Yeah, who would have thought living under an actual dictatorship for 40 years and then transitioning into a democratic market economy while being reunified with another territory out of the blue merely 30 years ago is a complicated process that takes many decades until the differences can get meaningfully reduced...that's totally the same thing that American "poor ignorant red states" went through :rip:.

I think it's safe to say that america has more homeless people for many reasons including a rising population, but it's a sad reality for the affected victims in the entire world

Germany is only known for the Holocaust so..

You do realize that America is literally copying Germany’s Oktoberfest because it doesn’t have any original ideas of its own?

I have, and it's fine. I've also driven into New York (isn't that even a blue state?), and it looks much worse and poor than anything I've ever seen in Europe.

What?! :deadbanana2:

I love Germany but it’s true. Their power militarily and economically fell hard after the war (understandably so) and so did their influence. And let’s be real, some of the policies under Merkel didn’t help.

Beautiful country and culture but California is iconic.

The Federal Republic is the most stable, peaceful, prosperous and admired Germany that has ever existed since at least 1871, you're like 100% wrong on every single level :rip:.

Germany's wealth, influence, size, etc. massively increased through everything that happened during the last 30 years (foundation of the EU, introduction of the Euro, German reunification, relative stability compared to other countries like the UK or Italy, etc.).

You posted a video of a German celebration taking place in the US and said it was because América “doesn’t have any original ideas of its own”

The photos above are of American sports and culture being “copied” in Germany, which means it has no original ideas of its own? Your confusion emphasizes the silliness of your original comment.

The one that’s not single handedly sponsoring the homeless population of the US for the sake of being “progressive” and “liberal”.

Germany did not unilaterally cause and is not solely responsible for WW1.

As usual with the US, California was stolen from Mexico, so...

California is, and like the US a third world country.

Germans enjoy actual high standards of living, smaller inequality, and police officers that will likely not kill you for being black, don’t have to worry about being shot and killed at school, the mall or anywhere else, and one injury won’t put you in a lifetime of debt. You don’t even have to worry about selling your house to afford insulin.

You don't need to state it because that's what your comment implies.

The statement "Germany lost two world wars" implies that WW1 and WW2 are comparable in the sense that both were actively caused and intended by Germany since you can not win or lose a war without having (or not having) the goal to do so in the first place.

However, unlike WW2, the causes of WW1 are incredibly complex, multi-faceted and still being debated to this day - including the question to what degree a world war was even intended by any of the belligerents.

So, in light of the above, it's incorrect to say "Germany lost two world wars" - unless you want to incorrectly frame WW1 as a "German war" just like WW2.

It's true that Germany was ultimately held responsible for WW1, but those are two separate things.
